Monday October 22nd, 1923.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board, Monday October
22nd, 1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. Messrs, Land and Henley being
present , Absent , Mr. McFall, Two members of said Board being pres-
ent, the_ follIwing proceedings were had, to-wit : -
The Board meets to hear remonstrances , if any of persons whose
property is affected by the opening of the Alley between North 13th
and 14th Street, from North "G" Street north to the alley running
east to North 14th Street , between North "G" & "H" Street, as pro-
, vided for under Declaratory Resolution No. 170-1923. A remonstrance
signed by L. Salzaru.lo, protesting against said opening, was filed,
, and the Board after hearing Martin Fau1, 114 Main Street; Pastor of
2nd Baptist Church; Crawford Mitchel1,1315 N."H" Street; Wm.Smith
1421 North "G" Street ; petitioners for said opening; and L. Salza-
rulo, remonstrator, the Board adjourned to the site of said -alley
opening to investigate conditions as represented by the above. After
which the Board continued hearing on said opening of alley as above
"stated, to December 10th, 1923.
The Board meets to hear remonstrances, 'if any of persons• primarily •
assessed on account of the improvement. of the alley between SW.2D"
& 3rd St. by constructing a cement roadway from SW. "D" to "E" Street
under Improvement Resolution No. 670-1923. No one appearing or re-
monst rating, the Board approved a final .assessment roll, confirm-
ing the original assessment roll as heretofore approved and now
direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance
The Board meets to hear remonstrances, if any of persons primarily
assessed on account of constructing a Sanitary Sewer on west side
of Southwest 5th Street, from the al1eJ between West Main & SW."A"
Street to Southwest "A" Street, under Improvement Resolution No.
695-1923. No one appearing or remonstrating. The Board approved a
final assessment roll confirming the original assessment roll as
heretofore approved. And now direct the same be forthwith trans-
mitted to the Department of Finance .
The Board granted permission to J. Miller; to store his household
goods in No. 4 Hose House.
The Board received communication from The Public Service Commis-
sion of Indiana, that the hearing set for Oct. 30, 1923, in matter
of Valuation of Richmond Home Telephone Co. ,has been indifinately
postponed.
The Board then adjourned, ' i
