The Bcard of Public Works of the City of chmon_d, Indiana , met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday October
4th , 1923 , a.t 9 o clock A . .:. All the members of said Board_ ,
Messrs , Land•, Mci'ai1 and Henley , being present . The_ following

The 3oa-rd approved a plat , to be submitted to the City Planning
Commission representing 5 toen lots , and bei i1g a Sub-Div. of Lots
4-5-6-7 «; 8 of -a •lham College Suh-Divi sion, to be known as Lot

Streets .
The Building inspector was directed to investigs. te as to way of
la-di a adi es toilet in City Building .
The li'ire Chief E. Miller, ix,as art'.^ on BEd to at tend the annual
Convention of F ire Chiefs to be held Oct . 23 to 26 , at I ichmond,
Va. ,. City to defray his neccessary7 expenses out of .:IiScellaneous

Sup . of Light Plant was instructed to install red light at South
9th & "E" Streets.

Mr. C.. A. Disher, was, granted permission to install a cement trash
box in alley in •rear of Westcott Hotel, same not to be over two( 2' )
-feet wide out -si de measurements , with water ti ght lid.
Sup' t . Hess of Light .Plant , submitted copy of letter. sent to.
;.D.Scoble , ':gt. for Travelers Ineu• ranee Co. , in matter of changes
made at Light Plant -tore rooms as recommended_ by said company &: •
recuesting a reducti on of premium in the amount of 77S'.' which was
approve d by the Board .
The Board approved the various payrolls to Oct. 1st , 1923.
Claims in the amount of 9178 .34 were allowed & ordered paid.

The Clerk not ifi ed the Board_ that vario us complaints made by the
Counci l membe rs , bad been reported to the departments as recom-
mended , and the Board_ were authori zed. to look into the matter of
purchase of cement testing I'm chine for the ci ty , at last sessi on
of the Council.
