The Board of Public Works of the City of =-Lichmor_a , Indiana met •
in re zlar session at the office of said Board Thursday September
2'7th , 1923 , at 9 oTclock' A. I.T. All the members of said Board , Messrs,
Land, McFail and. Henley .being present . _The following prodeedings
were had , to-wit : -�
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of.. contract,under -
Improvement resolution No. 670-1923, for the constrruetion of cement
roadway in the alley between Southwest 2nd & 3rd Street, from S.W.
• "D" to "E" Street. The Board ace epted the same , and 'adopted a prim-
ary assessment roll the refore .

The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract ,under
Improvement =resolution No. 695-- . 1923, for the construction of S.ani-
ta.ry Sewer on west side of S.ti'1.5th Street, from S.W. "A" Street to
the alley between West Main & S.W. "A" .`Street. The Board accepted
and adopted a primary assessment roll for said improvement .
The Board received communication from T:B. Jenkins , Prest . of Val-
'can Spring Co. , in matter of taking care of lot offered by said
company for recreation purposes , as agreed, Messrs , Henley .& McFail
were instructed to look over the si tuat ion and see what the ci ty
can do at this time , and report their conclusions to Mr.! Jenkins .
The Board received communication from City Clerk of Bloomington,
I11 .,, in matt er of installing "Fuel Oil Tank , in said City.
The Board received Rules and Regulations approved and a.do-oted by
the State .Fire Marshal regulating the construction, installation
and use of Oil Burning Equi pment for Domestic Service and for the
storage and use of Oil Fuels used therewith , in the State ' of Inds ana.
The Clerk was directed to present a copy thereof to the Building
Inspector and Fire Chief .

The Street Commissioner reported that steps were threatened against
the City in ratter .of dumping on west side of North 10th Street
north of the bri dge . The nEtt er was referred to Messrs , McFall,
Henley and Street Commissioner to confer with the County Health
Officer Dr. Fouts .
Claims in the amount of '15, 615 .32 were allowed and ordered paid.
