The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday September
24th , 1923, at 9 o clock A. M. Al; the membe rs of said Board ,
Messrs , Land, .McFall and Henley being. p-r esent , the follov ing
proceedings were had , to --wit
The Board approved a primary assessment roll under Improvement
Resolution No. 688-1923, for the resurfacing of South & North
10th Street, with Asphalt , from North "A" to South "A" Street .

- The Board approved a primary assessment roll in matter of opening
the alley between South 10th & llth Street, from South "I" to "J"
Street , under Declaratory Resoluti on No. 168-1923.
- The Board unanimously adapted Declaratory Resolution No. 170-1923,
for the opening of the all ey between North 13ti & 14th Street ,
running from North "G" Street to the let alley north, running east
& west between North "G" & "H" Street .
•
- The Engineer was directed to notify the Hays Construction Co. , to
remove the dirt from parkways in Reeveston Streets , before laying
tarvia on said streets .
The Sup' t. of Parks was 'directed to barricade the loop road, and
Sup' t.- Light Plant , directed to place red light on said barricade.
The Clerk was directed to write. the City Clerk of Bloomington, Ill . ,
el so Indi ana State Fire Marshal , andnascertai n if possible , what
rule if any pr evai le s in mat ter of installing "Fuel Oil" tanks in
business and resi. dent dietri cts
The Board arpointed Gilbert Gee , Fireman to fill vacancy caused by
discharge of Geo . Fawcett .
-The Board appointed Toney Sprinkler , custodian of City Buildi n€.
The Board authori zed Mr. D. C. Hess Sup't . Light_ Plant to attend
Electrical Convention at French Lick , Indi ana , week Sep. 25, 1923,
at expense of sa id Light Plant .
The Boa rd fix rate for assessing of benefi is account of opening of
S.W. 5th Street, from National Road south, as follows , viz :
Sec . 1 , 2. 18 front foot lot;. Sec. 2 , 4)1.63 front foot; Sec. 3,
p1.09 front foot ; Sec . 4, .5425/ front foot ; Sec. 5 , . 21/8 front ft.
