Thursday June 28th, 1923. •
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , ana , met in
regular session at the office ofvsaid Board , Thursday June 28th ,
1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs ,Land
McFei1 and Henley being pr.esent . The following proceedings were had ,
to ewit . •
The Board meets to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons primarily
assessed on account of the improvement of South llth Street, by con-
strueting cement curb & mutters on both sides thereof from South"E"
to "G" Street as provided for under Improvement Resolution No. 671-
1923 . No ono appearing or remonstrating against said roll . • The Board
seer rove s a fi nal assessment roil, confi rming in all things the origi-
nal assessment roll as heretofore approved , and • nix direct the same
be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance .
A. ivi. Gardner ..ttorney for Jesse Wei chmen , appeared before the Board
in- natter of assessrflelit against part of Cut-Lot , 16 , Cleavers Out-
Lots , owned Thy said J.4Veichrnian , requesting the Board to assess back
150 feet onto the part of said Lot as owner by D. Harp, the same was
referred to City Attorney for investigation and report , Improvement
Resolution No. 655-1922.
Pursuant . to continuance to this date , the Board meets to hear all per-
sons intere sled, or whose property is affected by the improvement of

one of the following kinds 'of pavements , to -wit : - New -Brick Pee-layin
Cold Briar , Sheet Asphalt , -Bitumi_nous Concrete , or Wood Block under
Improvement Resoluti on No. 693--1923. The City Engineer reported that
the rem ons trance heretofore filed, contained a majority in number. of
the resi dent property owners , after hearing all persons interested
vh o appeared, the Board finds that the b ene fi is to the Trope rty liable
to be assessed for said repaving are equal to t Cep o, tdsame s re-
p orte d by the City Civil Engi neer , and thereupon,-order th_ai, an or d7 -
nence -be prepared and be submitted to the Common Council recommending
that the street be re-paved as specified in said resolution.
The Board unanimously ado',ted Imprcirvement Resolution No. 695-1923„ for
the Construction of a Sanitary Sewer in Southwest 5th Street, from
the alley bet, een West Main Street, and S .W. "A" Street to Southwest
"A1t Street.
The Board enter into contract with American Legion Band , for 12 hand.

The City Civi 1 ! nP.'i neer reported the completion. of contracts under
Improvement Resolution No' s, 617-19f:1 and 672 -1923 , same was referred
to Mr . Henleynfor investigation.

The Clerk was directed to notify the Police Department , th look
after d_own-soouts over the city , permitting water to ran across
the sid ewalks , and to serve no ti ce on pr op erty owners to have the
same remsdied to comply with ci y ordinances , and keep on file a
