The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met
- in regular session at the office of said Board , Monday .June 25th ,
19.23 , at 9 o' clock A. M. Messrs , McFall and Henley present-, Mr.
Land , Absent . Two membershof said. Board. being present . The •follow-
ing proceedings were had , to -wit
Pursuant to continuance to• this date,, the Board meets to hear re-
monstrances from persons whose property is affected by the opening
of Southwest 5th Street , from National Road South as provided for
by Declaratory Resolution No. 167 --1923 . A petition signed by Clem
A. Gaar and 57 ,others , praying that all the T_.H. I.& E. Traction Co.
Barn and, shop property be' purchased if possible , converting such .
part as will not be us ed for street purposes into Building Lots.
or a public park. The Board continued hearing on said proposed
opening of Southwest 5th. Street to July 9 , 1923.
Permissi. on to cut the curb for driveway was granted F.E.Hagie -
at '401 South 15th Street. '
A petition signed by Herman F. Pilgrim was received, praying for
the opening & extension of alley betW.een South 10th & llth Street
.from South "I" to "J" Street, thich was referred to Engi neer for
plans , etc . , -
•The Board received "Declaration of Surrender .of Licenses , Permits
and. Franchises", of Richmond- Home Telephone -Company and accept an
Indeterminate permit as filed with The Public ,Ser.viee Comr: ission
of Indiana.
The. Board directed D.C.Hess, Sup' t . , of Light Plant , to purchase
- from Mather Bros Co. , 400 barrel: more -or less "Hoosi er Portland.,
Cement , delivered f.o.b. cars Richmond at 02.82 per barrel „Terms
30 days Net 'or 10 per 'barrel discount for cash in ten days from
date of shipment and 10r! each -for sacks when returned to the pill
in good conditi on wi th freight prepaid subject to their count and
inspection.
