I. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land , McFail and `Henley 'being .present , the following proceedings were had. ,tc :- The Board received report of erection of new found€t ions ,walls ,pits , . etc. , -re-laying pres.ert tracks in new location & erecting overhead wi re s, add. of*erhead wires , poles, etc . , removal part of •shop to make possible to use present special work, cost of supervision of, work, plans , etc . , co st of face bri ck over common brick on west wall, if desired by the City, value of a-ro and taken arid. damage s to remainder of ground west of proposed SW.5th St. from the T. H. I . & E.• Traction Co, fixing the total at 4;;31,450.00 less credit •for salvage-brick', rai 1s , etc . , 5 5,880 .00 leaving a net valuation of the costs -to the company including damages & ground taken of $25,570.00, ,wh.i ch was • placed on file " for future reference . Pursuant to adverti sement , the -Board received bids for printing of all legal notices or paid pri nted matter known as _newspaper advertise- ments , as follows, viz : - a The Richmond Palladium, bid ; • First insertion & all additional insertions 00. 514 per inch. • " The 'Richmond •Item;• bid ; For first insertion--30. 55. each additional insertion, 0.499"'per inch. On motion the contract. for city .advertising for the year ending- June 30 , . 1924 , was awarded to The Richmond Palladium. • Pursuant to advertisement , the Board received bids for band concerts to be held in Glen Miller Park during the season of 1923, as follows to-wit : " American Zeg:o n Band, bid : - Rate of 3. `?5 per man, 14.00 extra •for direct or. Mr. Mcl•ail was directed to make arrangements for 12 concerts for _sum of 4;750 .00, concerts to be held as desi gnated by the Board with privi lege of holding concert3t in other places in city beside Glen" Miller Park. Claims in the amount of 530 . 15 were allowed & ordered. paid..
