The Board of Public Works -of the City of Richmond , Indiana , rnet in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday June 14th 19237 at 9 of ci ock A._ P.I. All the members of said Board, Messrs , - Land , McFall and Henley being present , the following proceedings were_had , to--wit : Purs-uent to conti.nunnce to this date , the Board take up the matter of the petition filed for the paving of North & South 10th Street from North "A" to .South "A" Street with Asphalt , under Improvement Resolution No. 688-1923. The Board received written objections of the Hayes Construction Co. , filed by Gardner, Jessup and noel- • scher attorneys , contending that under the ruling of the Indiana • - polis Board of -Public Works , who are governed by the same law, the joint ownership of property of man & wife ce+n - only be counted as one. and must be signed by both to count at all, the Board in- order to settle this di spute , on motion of Mr. MoPail unanimously re ject all bids hereto fore recei ved for said imrrovement , • and now di rest the clerk to advertise for bids under said Improvement Re- - soluti on No. 688-1923. The City Attorney filed with the Board 'a release signed by Joseph- . ins Schweizer in fall settlement adjustment and satisfaction for all danages sustained byher by reason of• the injuri es sustained by her on the 13th day of September, 1920 , and reported the cause No. 20239 Wayne Circuit Court April term , 19221 consideration 300.00 which amount the Board now- ordered paid to said play ntiff Josephine Schweizer or her attorney Gath Freemen . In matte of hearing under Declaratory Resolution No. 16771923,for the opening of Southwest 5th Street from National Road, the Board continued hearing until Monday June 25th , 1923, 10 o clock A. M. and direct the Clerk to notify .interested persons thru the press. The Board approved the contract Sc. bond of Isenjarger & Jessup, con- tractors under Improvement Resolution No' s. 691 & 692--1923. Permission was granted to Chas. Ackerman to cut the curb on north side of S. "E" St. bet .15th & 16th Sts, 113 11, & P. Add. • The Board meets to hear all persons intere steel or whose property is affected by ICprovement heselution No. 693-1923, for repaving Mnai Street, wi th New Brick, re-laying old brick , Sheet Asphalt , Bitumi- nous Concrete or Wood Block, from 4th to 12th Ste ets , After hear- ing all persons interested who appeared, a remonstrance having been filed against said-:,.improvement . The Board continued hearing on same for two we.4ks.. .,i' UTR.W-. June 28 th , 1923, and refer the remonstrance to the City h;ngi-ne'er for investigation and report.
