City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board on, Thursday June 7th , .1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs , Land, McFall and Henley being present. The following pro- ceedings were had , to-wit :- The • Board approved the contract & bond of the Hayes Construction Co. , contractors under Improvement Resolution No. 685-1923, for the improvement of North "B" Street by cement •si_d.ewalks, curb & gutters on both sides and tarvia macadam. roadway from North 7th to 8th Street. The Board grant permission to Joseph T. Stokes to cut the curb at 1717 North "C" Street (bowldered gutter)-driveway at property of Mary "L. Males. . The Board si gn a tentative agreement to be submitted to the Tower of Spring Grove, to cause the City Fire Department to respond to alarms of fire in Spring Grove Corporation, upon the payment of $25.00 per company for each company responding to an alarm of fire . and the additional sum of 4p25.00 per hour or fraction thereof after the first hour, payment to be made by said Town to the City - of Richmond Indiana, upon presentati on of the bill to the town of Spring Grove. A petition purporting to have been signed .by 13 resident property owners residing and owning property on North & _South 10th Street between North. & South "A" Street, praying that said street be paved with Asphalt under the plane , specifications and bid. re- ceived for paving of said street between the points named, as provided under Improvement Resolution No. 688-1923, was filed at 9.55 A.M. Tuesday June 5th , 1923. Mr. A. M. Gardner attorney for the Hayes Construction Co. , appeared before the Board, ratsbng the question as to the legality of mx-td signatures of Chas. Pollett arid M. Pollett, the same having been si gned by the wi fe and dough... . ter respectively. The Board referred the said petition to the City Attorney for investigation and -report. Sup't. , Hess, was directed to purchase and install a "Time Switch" for lights in Glen Miller Park. The Clerk reported the various complaints received at ' last Coun- ci 1 meeting referred to them, al so a resoluti on adopted by said council requesting a tablet be erected near. the entrance of Glen . Park, with the names of the Mayor & Council who purchased said Glen, the C le rk was directed to look' up the records and ascertain from the Council; if they desired. the names of the Council at that .time or only those counci lmen who voted for said purchase.
