City of Richmond Indiana,
Monday June 4th , 1923.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday Jane 4th,
1923, at 9 0' clock A. M. All the members of said Board , Messrs ,.
.Land , McFall and Henley being present , The following proceedings
were had , to -wit : _The Engineer reported the comple ti o n of the improvement of the
alley between North 16th & lath Street, by constructing cement re
roadway from North "C" to "E" Street, under Improvement hesolntion •
No. 656-192E. The Board ac cepted the same , and adopted a primary
assessment roll. •
The Board approved a primary. assessment roll under Improvement
• Resolution No. 655--192E , for the construction of a cement roadway
in the alley between South 10th & 11th Street , from South "G" to
South "I" Street. .
The Board granted permission to Robert Haustetter to cut the curb
frr driveway at Southeast corner of Lincoln & Northwest 4th Street.
The que stion of the opening of Southwest 5th Street from National
Road south , . was • brought up for discussion, and Mr. Land Prest. of
the Board was directed to confer with the attorney for the T. H. I.
& Traction Co. , • to see what they would take for all their ground
south of National Road at 5th Street , with a view of purchasing
the whole tract in making, •of said opening.
The Clerk was directed to notify the various department heads to
keep accurate count of gasoline tax paid by them and the date of
said payments .
The. City Attorney was . directed to look up and examine the l'eeds
to Lot No' s. 10 & 11,1. E. Jones , Addition to the City and owned
by .the City, with a view of leasing the same for certain. purposes.
The Board approved the various payrolls of the city up to June 2,
1923.
The Board then adjourned,
