Monday May 14th , 1923.
. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met
in regular sessi on at the office of vsaid Board Monday May 14th,
1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs ,
Land, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had , to -wit :
Upon the recommendation of E. E. Miller Fire Chief. The Board ap-
pointed Leslie. L. Williams as a fireman in the City Fire Department.
The Board approved a primary assessment roll in the matter of con-
demnation of right®of. way to construct and maintain a sewer over
and across Lot No. 3, Pitts & Hoc gin, liddi ti on on west side of
Northwest 5th Street over and across said lot to the alley between
Northwest 5th & 6th Streets, under Declaratory Resolution No. 165-
1923: and fix Monday June llth , 1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. as a date
and time for hearing of remonstrances agai nst said assessment of
benefits and award of damages.
The Matter, of bi 11 of Chenoweth Auto Co. in the sum of 6'1268 .00
for "Buick Automobile" furnished M.E.L.& P.P. was referred to the
City Attorney for instructions as to its payment
The Board directed the Clerk to advertise for bids on "Motorcyc le"
fully equipped for .use of Police Department , directi ng bi dders to
also state what if arty they wcazld all ow on the old "Excelsior"
motorcycle belonging to said department .
The Board then adjourned,
