Thursday May 10th , 1923.
The Board of Public Works of the City of hichmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the. office of said Board Thursday May 10th,
1923, at 9 o` clock A. M. All the' meiibe rs of said Board , Messrs ,
Land, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had , to-wit :I _
The Board met to hear all pesons interested. in or vh ose property
i.s affected by the construction of a Sanitary Sewer in the let al-
ley north of North "F" Street ; from North 13th Street, west to the
alley between North 12th & 13th Street under Improvement Resolution
No. 689-1923. No one appearing and no remonstrance having been filed
the Board decides that the property liab le- to be assessed for said
improvement is benefitted equal to the -cost of same as reported
by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take final action the
- Resolution being confirmed without modification.
The ten4riod on bids for the improvement of Northwest 8th Street
under Improvement resolution No. 669-1923. and no petition having
been filed for improving the street , other than cement vhich was
designated heretofore by the Board . The Board now award the contract
to Issenbarger & Jessup at price named in bid submitted therefor
$12.75 complete per linear foot same to be laid. in cement . and the
Board approved a. contract & bond for said improvement signed by the
said Issenbarger & Jessup.

The Board approved contracts & bonds of Daniel G. Burkhardt contract-
or under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 678 , 680 , 682 & 683-1923.
The Clerk was directed to prepare an ordinance providing authority
for the Board of Public Works to have trees trimed any place in the
City, under the supervision of the City FOrester ; also appropria-
ting $500.00 for payment of said supervisio n.
The Clerk & City Attorney 'were directed to block out notice to be
served by the Police Depar t ment , under the ordinance regulating
• "Down-sp outs " from bui ldings , ' together with date of service and re-
turn date .
In matter of "Fire Protection" for property immediately adjacent to
the City , the Clerk was directed to request Messrs ,Eve ret Lemon,
Robert Haas, Joe Hill, Earl Mann, Earlham College authorities,
J.H.Menke , Prest. Spring Grove ,Corp. South Side Improvement Assn. ,
Walter Fulghum, Robert Heun and Atwood Jenkins, to meet with the

Board in the Council Chamber at 7 ?0 o' clock P.M. Monday May 14th,
1923, and request each of them to bring any person interested with
them.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 693-1923.
for the improvement of Main Street,by repaving said street with one
of the following kinds of pavements, to-wit : New Brick;Re-laying old
bri ck,Sheet Asphalt ,Bituminous esonarkette or Wood-blobk,from west line
of 4th Street to east line of 12th Street.
Claims to the amount of p13,493 .80 were allowed & ordered paid .
