Thursday March 29th , 1923.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
• in regular session at the office of said Board , Thursday March
29th , 1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board ,
Messrs , Land , McFall ani Henley , being present . The following
proceedi ngs were had , to -wit.: -
The Board nog• confirm their preliminary order , designating that
Reeveston Road from South 18th Street to South 23rd Street;
Also , South 21st Street from Reeveston Road to South "B" Street
under Improvement Resolution No. 661-1923, by giving the same
with Tarvia Macadam under the plans and specifications therefore
and • on motion award the contract to the Hayes Construetione'Co. ,
of Indianapolis , Indiana , fixing July 15th, 1923, as the date
when same shall be completed.
The Board now confirm their preliminary order, designating that
South 20th Street , be pave with Tarvia Macadam, from Reeveston
Road to South "B" Street , under the plans & specifications there-
fore, under Improvement Resolution No.665-1923. And on motion
award the contract for- said improvement to the Hayes Construction
Co. of Indianapolis , Indiana . fixing July 15th, 1923, as the
date when same shall be completed.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 685-1923
to improve North "B" Street ; by constructing cement sidewalks 5'
wide, curb & gutter on both sides of said street , and paving the
roadway with one of the following kinds of city pavements, to-wit ;
Concrete , Brick, Bituminous macadam or Rock Asphalt , from North
7th to 8th Street .
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 686-1923
to improve North "P."''Sire et , by constructing a cement sidewalk
- on north side of street from North 10th to 15th Street, except,
where cement sidewalk is al ready laid and in good . condi tie n.
The Clerk was directed to notify D. C. Hess, Sup't. , of M.E.L.
& P.P. to prepare to lay the conduits or cable necessary in
Reeveston Road , South 21st & South 20th Street, and report at
next meeting tcf Board, Monday Apri 1 2nd , 19 23.'
The Board granted permission to Ellsworth Gordon to cut the curb
at 136 Chestnut Street for driveway xh.
The Clerk was directed to order one "No Parking Sign" for fire
hydrant , from the Kestoy Shop, Watsontown , Pa. ,
The Fire Chief was directed to purchase two; set of Goodyear
•
Cushion Tire , for use on Ido' s. 1 & 3 hose wagons, from The Mc-
Conaha Company.

The Board grant permission to T. R. O'Donnell & Co. to erect a
metal sign 18 X 36 on post to be set back of walk on their prop-
erty line sign .to extend over sidewalk and not less than 10 feet
from the ground at 119 South 6th. Street.
The Board accepted verbal agreement of Geo. Dilks , to use his
ground north of the - Old Tobacco Mfg . on North 10th Street north
of the river, for dumping trash , ashes, etc . , (west side of street )

The Board directed the Clerk to notify the Richmond City Water
Works , to install two Fire Hydrants as follows, one at West,:nth
and Kinsey Street, Also, one on South 18th Street between South
"E" Street and Re eve stun Road under the direction of Chief of
Fire Department. .
. The Board then adjourned,
