AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
NAJARIAN ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of planning /engineering consulting
services in connection with various projects within the Borough; and
WHEREAS, Najarian Associates, One Industrial Way West, Eatontown, New .Jersey
07724. possess the requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Najarian Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering
services at a total cost not to exceed $15,000.00, and
WHEREAS. the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose. Acct- # 8 - 01 - 20 - 16
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex. State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal from Najarian Associates for
planning /engineering consulting services with regard to various
projects, in a total amount of $15,000.00 billable in accordance
with Najarian's existing contract with the Borough is hereby
approved.

2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with
the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and Najarian Associates.
