The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in special session at the office of said Board oh Friday March_ •
2nd, 1923, at 11.45 o' clock A. M. rill the members of said Board
Messrs , Land, McFail and Henley being present. The following pro-

ceedings were had, to-wit :
The Board after carefully having considered the bids of the
various companies submitted for the furnishing of Electrical Equip-
ment , in the matter of Improvements, betterments and additions to
the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant of said City, decide
that the bid of the General Electric Company submitted at their
regular meeting held on February 19th, 1923, is the best bid x xw±x
received and thereupn award the contract to the General Electric
Company at the price named in their bid submitted therefore i.e .
' 043,460.00 and insert the following Rider to the contract as fol-
lows, to-wit : - .
Rider:
It is understood and ggreed between both the purchaser and
• the Cpmpany herein, that this rider shall be considered and read as
a part of this contract :
The General Electric Company (hereinafter called the Company
proposes to furnish apparatus as herein described and as referred
to an Purchaser' s specifications hereto attached, which specifi-
cations are hereby expressly made a part of this contract.
In the event of conflict between Company' s - specifications
and Purchaser's specifications as hereto attached, the Purchaser's
specifications shall prevail.
It is further understood and agreed the Compmy shall not
be held responsible for work done , apparatus furnished, or repairs
made by others , except such work as may be done by others under
the direction of the foreman furnished by the Company.
And thereupn the Board sign contract with the above "RIDER"
attached.
The Board then adjourned,
