Monday February 19th , 1923.
The Board of Publie. Works of the City of -Richmond , Indiana , met
in regular session at the of F.ice of said Board Monday J'ebruary 19th
1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board , Messrs ,
- Land , McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had , to-wit : -
The Board received bids on equipment, material & labor for the use
of the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant of said. City , under
specifications for betterments to said plant as follows, viz:

A certificate relating to injuri es sustained by John B. Schnelle
and signed by Dr. R. ''chil'linger was received and referred to the
City Attorney..
• The Board received petition_for the improvement of the all ey be-
tween South 17th Fc 18th Street ,. by constructing a cement roadway
from South "A" Street to north terminous of alley, thence east to
South 18th Street , referred to Engi neer for plans, etc.,
The Clerk was directed to notify Mr. Lucas, to meet with them on
next Monday Feb . 26th, in regard to ga so line pipe crossing above
si dewalk.
The Clerk was directed to notify Light Plant to inspect the various
Traffic Guides in the ci ty , and make necessary repairs to estop
the breakage of light bulbs in same .
380 Monday February 19th , 1923.-
The Board rati fy and si gn an agreement between the City of jtich-
mond, Indiana, and residents on the Chester and Arba Pike , in
the matter of the construction and installation of Poles and
Wire for the furnishing of Electric current to the said residents .
The Board unanimously adopted. Improvement resolution No. 664-1923,
to improve South "J" Street , by constructing cement sidewalks 5"
wide and cement curb & gutter ( standard wi dth ) on both sides of
the street from South 9th to 6th Street
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement 1,esolution No.666-; _923_,
for the improvement of South 17th Street, by, constructing cement
sid ewalk 6 wide on both sid es of said street from Main Street to
South "A" Street.
The City Civi 1 Engi neer, was instructed to inve sti gate as to the
best method or paving to be used in mat to r of repaving or repair •
-
ing Main Street from 4th Street east , and as to probable cost &
report to the Board .

Claims to the amount of 6'73 28 .65, were allowed and ordered paid .
Payrolls to February 17th , 1923, were approved.
