Thursday February 8th , 1923
The Board of Public, Works of the City of AAichmond , 'Indiana , met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday- February
8th, 1923, at 9 o'clock A. M. Messrs , Land and Henley being Ares-
- ent , Mr. McFai1, Absent ; Two members of said Board .being .present .-
The following proceedings were had, to-wit-: -
-The Board on account of minimum premium of 432.00 ; authorized the
insurance on Market Lot House on South 5th Street , raised from
$500.00 to $700.00 for one year; Also, directed H, N. Young Agent,
to write insurance on the Barn in Glen Miller Park, known as the
Teamsters or Green -House Barn situated near pavillion; as follows,
Barn, 31,700.00 ; Horses $450':00 ; -_feed, tools and other contents
$350 .00; Total insurance Barn & 'Contents , $2, 500.00 for three years.
The Board granted permission to Henry Eickemeyer, 'to cut the curb
at No. 623 South 9th Street for driveway, under the inspection &
approval of the ,City Civil Engineer.
In matter Of claim of Stanley•Hays , against the M.E.L.& F.P. refer-
- red to the City Attorney in amount of p12 .17 ; for work on lines etc.
done in 1921; claim presented -Feb . 1922; The City Ettorney, states
it is a 'just & proper claim -against said Light Plant , thereupon the
Board directed the claim be paid. •
The Board 'authorized the Clerk to advertise for bids on improve-
ments .under Improvement Resolutions No. as follows, to-wit ;
No' s. 649-1922, C. & G. North 19th St, Main to Railroad ;
- 651 -1922,Cement roadway, in alley 1st •north of Main, from North 21st
to 22nd St; Also, alley between North 21st & 22nd Street ; from 1st
alley north of Main to •North "0" Street ;-
655-1922, Cement roadway, in alley between South 10th 8c 11th, from
South "G" to "I" Street ; 656-1922 , Cement roadway in alley between
North 16th & 17th Street , from North "C" to "E" Street;' 65:8-1923,
South "B" Street , Cement C. & G. both sides and sidewalks 6' wide
on north side from North 2lst to 23rd Street; 659-1923, Cement road-
way in alley between Charles & Williams Street , from Boyer to North-
west 2nd Street ; 663-1923, -Relief -Sewer in Northwest 5th Street,
from Randolph Street to- Ri:chmoWkve_; also from Peacock Road to
Pearl Street; Also, beginning at the sewer opposite the alley be-
tween. Lincoln & -Pearl St; thence west over & across Lot 3, Pitts &
Hodgin, Add. to the sewer in the alley between 5th &i.6th Street,
bids to be received March let , 1923, at 10 o' clock A. M.
