HomeMy Public PortalAbout02-05-1923 372 0f fi ce of B oa rd of Publ is Works • City of Richmond , Indi.a.na , Monday February 5th ,1923 The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indi ana, met in regular session at the office of said Board. Monday - r'ebruary 5th , 1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land, McFall and Henley being present . The fol- lowing proceedings were had , to-wit : - The Board authorized Mr. H. N. Young, to write insurance policy in the amount of 0500 .00 for one year on the property/purchased from Wm. Haberkern by the city located on South 5th Street. The Clerk was directed to notify the T.H. I.& E. Traction Co. to patch up the holes on North - 5th Street hi 11 along their tracks . The- Clerk was directed to prepare an ordinance requesting the CityrControlier to recommend to the Common Council an appropri- ation in the sum of $62 ,000.00; for the construction of Relief Sewer in North 16th , North "E" St. from river to North 22nd ST. Also, branches in North 20th , 21st & 22nd Streets , • and present the same at next meeting of the Council. The Board adopted plans & specifications for toilets to be \in- stalled in Glen Miller Park; and on advice of City Attorney instructed the Clerk to notify the plumbers of the city to present bids on same by Thursday February 22nd., 1923, A. H. Schneider , Street Commissioner, notified the Board that he had laid. 34 ft. of 15"inch sewer in South "L" Street at the railroad as ordered by them. The Clerk was directed to notify M.E.L.& P.P. that in present- ing bills or claims to the city, where the bill is against one department or account , to place as many on one bill or invoice as possible . Claims in the amount of $1575 .79 were allowed & ordered paid.
