The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday January 22nd , 1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs, Land, McFail and Henley being present, the following proceedings were had , to -wit : - - - Permission was grante d Walter Davis to cut curb and construct a private driveway at South 16th & "C" Streets , under the ' super- vision & direction of the City Engi neer. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 663-1923, .To construct a Relief Sewer in Northwest 5th Street ; beginning - at NW.5th & Randolph Street ; running thence north to north line of Richmond Avenue; Also beginning at the sewer in Peacock Road. & NW.5th St; thence south to Pearl Street ; also beginning at a point in the proposed sewer in 5th St. to a point opposite the al- ley running east & west between Lincoln & Pearl St; thence over and across Lot No. 3, Pitts & Hodgin Addition to the sewer in alley running north & south between N.II. 5th & N.W. 6th Streets . In matter of Improvement Resolution No. 664-1923, the same was - referred to City Attorney for report as to assessing the C . & 0. Ry. Co. , for sewer . The Board directed. the. Building '.Inspector to have lavatory placed in Comfort Station on each side with hot & cold. water, and locks for pay toilets with lavatory connections . D. C . Hess, Sup' t. of Light Plant presented a tehtative plan for construction of line with necessary transformers, etc , for light and power to Chester, Indiana, which which was approved by the Board subject to written agreement to be made between the consumers on said line . Mr. Hess, was directed to prepare his plans & specifications and advertise for .the proposed changes to be made at light plant in the way of betterments & improvements as specified in the ordi- nance now 1)ending before the Common Council. Claims to the amount of al741 .36 were allowed & approved for payment by the Board . Upon the recommendation of Sup' t , Hess, the Board award contract for Jaeger Concrete Mixer, to The McConaha Co. as per their bid of J an ua ry n l 5 th, 19 23.
