The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of sa id Board. Thursday January 4th.,
1923 , at 9 o` clock A. T . All the members of said Board, I.Iessr.s ,
Land. , McPail arid Henley bei ng present . The fo llowing proceedings
were had , to-wit : -

.The Board meets to hear remonstrances ,. if. any, of persons primarily
• assessed on account of the construction-of a Sanitary Sewer between
South 4th Street & the right -of-way of the C ..�, O.Rv. Co. from South
"B'" to "E" Street , under Improv&i_Zent Resolution No. 637-1922. No one
appeari ng arid no remonstrance having been received. The Board approved
a final assessment roll confi rming in all things the original assess-J
ment roll as heretofore approved. ,And the Board now direct the _
assessment roll be forthwith transmitted to the Department of Finance. -

The Board meets to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons primarily
assessed on account of the- improvement of Northnl3th Street, by con-
structing cement sidewalks 6' wide , curb & gutter on both sides of •
street and grading- and -graveling the roadway, from North "H" to "J"
Street , under Improvement he solution No. 646.-1922 . No one appearing
and no remonstrance having been received, the Board approved a• fin-
al assessment roll confirming in all things the original assessment
roll as heretofore approved, arid now dir ect the assessment roll 'be
forthwith transmitted to the Department' of Finance .
Mr. Schneider Street Comtissioner,reported• the dangerous condition
of the rai ling on the Doran Bridge , he was on motion directed to
have the same roped off .and immediately repaired.
A petition was received for the improvement of Butler Street , by
graveled roadway ,& walk also cement curb &' gutter, from Sherman St.
to south terminal of Butler Street ; provided the Board has same kind
of improvement made on Sherman Street , from Sheridan to Butler St .
Petition to Engineer for estimates on improvements .
The Board directed the Sup' t of Light Plant and City Engineer to
investi gate and report as to placing a .traffic device at corner of
North 9th & "A" Streets.

The Clerk was directed to request Mr. Hi gel.nbottom Sup T. together
with Engineer- of P:•C..•C.ic St .L.RR. to meet witjT the Board . next Mon-
day at 9 A.M. to di scuss matter of overhead bri dge on NW. 5th Street .
The City Attorney was directed to look into the matter of city taking
interest, accruing to Light Plant General Fund , to .its General Fund,
and report as to its legality .
The Board then ad journed,
