Thursday November 9th, 19 22.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday November
9th, 1922, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs ,
Land, McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had , to-wit : -
The Board granted permission to Wallace W. Kendall to cut the curb
_for driveway at 821 Southwest -"A" Street.The Board granted permission -to Standard Oil Co.to cut the curb
on Richmond Ave , Also Sheridan Street at Lot No. 39 Railsback,Add.
for driveways to filling `station.
The Board accepted improvement completed under Improvement Reso-
lution No.624-1922, for cement roadway in alley 1st south of Main
Street, from South 21st to 22nd Street , and approved a primary
assessment roll for same .
The Board approved a primary assessment roll for the construction
of cement alley 1st south . of North "A" Street, from North 7th to
8th Street, under Improvement resolution No.633-1922 .
The City Attorney reported in matter of widening School Street as
proposed under Declaratory Resolution No.156-1921, stating his
opinion on the matter is that the Board had better start new pro-
ceedings , and advertise for a day of hearing specifying not only
the ground damaged or appropriated but also to define the territory
or area to be assessed beneficially.
The Board authorized the City. Engineer, to trade the old Ford Auto
Chassis of his department, for a new chassis , whici they deem the
cheapest and best proposition.
The Board authorized the Fire Chief to take up the matter of bad
Fire hose with the Gutta Pecha Co. and get the best settlement out
of them possible .
The Board authorized Chas. A. Tangeman, to furnish and :place 4 new
radiators in repairing the heating system in City Building at the
price of 0190.00, as submitted by him.
The Board directed the Fire Chief to purchase boiler compound for
City Bldg. boiler.
The Board instructed the City Engineer to arrange for a meeting with
the Board of Wayne County Commissioners together with the newly
elected commissioners.
