Mr• iLLIrici , e st . of Board in explaining the meets rig , stated that the
Board were contemplating the re-paving of main St , from 4th to 12 or
14th bt , which had not as yet been definitely decided, hut , be fore
doing the whole street , they deemed it advisable to take up the block
from 6th to 9th- St , one side at a time , tarn over the 1-31.1 ck ,re-lay
and slush with Asphalt ; and if it proved. to 'be successful , then the
Board would start proceedings to have the whole street as stated re-
pave d ; 'out , 'before anything was done the Board desired to know if the
property owners would enter into a written a,Treement with the City ,
that they would pay the cost of the above block in case the whole of
Main St was finally improved ; stating that if it was not successful
. cr the whole street was not fi nally re-paved as above , the cost would
be born by the City. All the representative present , stated they would
be wi. iliac: to enter into such an agreement , for the various pro-pert
ties represented by them..
