The Board of .-ublic :rioi'kS of the City of iici.11ond , Ind ivna , met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday October 9th,1922 , at 9 0' clock A. M. All the mem be rs of said Board Messrs , Land , • . . Mci'ai1 and Henley being present , the following proceedings were had , to-wit : - The various complaints referred to Board from the Common Council were received and clerk directed to place no tice in papers ordering inhabitants to •trim trees, Police to notify Sel.gal Confecti ovary e. to raise his awning, Building Inspector to see if he can have the walk opened at 7th & dviain Street -at New Bank Bldg. , The Board received• communication from South Side Improvement Assn. recuesti.ng a cross walk at - South 7th & "H" Strbet , as the City has discontinued the practice of placint cross walks , the Clerk was directed to so notify said association. The Board approved final assessment roll in the matter of the con- - struction- of the Southwest he lief Sewer. under Improvement Resolution No. 619-1922i and allows final estimate in the sum of 5?18 ,567. 95 in favor of. Connor , Bearly and Jinks,Contractors for construction of same , and direct the assessment roll be transmitted forthwith • to the Department of Finance . - The ' Board meets to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons primarily - - assessed for the- improvement Of the alley between North ,TFTT Street . and the P.C . C .& St.L -Railroad , by constructing a cement roadway the full width thereof, from North 22nd to 2 3rd Str eet , under Im- provement he solution No. 614-1921 . No one appearing or remonstrat- ing, the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the ori- ginal assessment roll heretofore approved, and now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance. 7.- The Board meets to hear remonstrances , if any, of persons primarily assessed on account of the construction .of a Sanitary Sewer on South 5th Street from South "G" to "H" Street , as provided for under Im- provement Nesolution No.620-1922. No one appearing or remonstrating the Boar approved a fi nal assessment roll, confirming in all things the ori l�la1 -assessment -roll as heretofore approved, and nor-' direct the Sate be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance'. . The Board meets to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons primarily assessed on account of the construction of a 5' cement sidewalk on east side of Northwest 2nd Street, from Lincoln Str eet to Richmond Avenue , as• provided for under Improvement Resolution No. 638-1922. No one appeari ng or remonstrat i ig , the Board approved a final assess- ment roll confi rmi.ng the original assessment roll as heretofore ap- proved. And now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the -Department. of Finance Mr. Henley reported the improvement of the alley between south 10th & llt.-1 Street , from 'TB" to "C" Street 11ilder icesoluti on No. 622-1922, that Mr. Hipskind had made some necessary repairs and settled vi th property owners , the Board accepted said_ improvement and ordered assessment roll prepared. . The Board granted permission to John F. Hipkind to cut the , curb Or South TBi Streetb@t"eei lnt1 & 21st Street at Tract 511, 0.E. _ on noath side of street , for private driveway. The City Bng'i ricer was directed to relay Main Street from east side of 7th to the east side of 8th street , and "clerk was directed to notify the Street Commissioner to co-operate in said vwcrk . - Sup Hess of 17. . !J.& P,P. was air ected to make necessary alley _ ticaffic signs , to guide traffic as provided in ordinance and re- commended by the Police Commissioners . _ The Board up on recommendation of Mr. Hess, awarded the contract to Chas . A. Tangeman, for installing heating system in `-LLight Plant Garage and at ore rooms , as per his proposal not to exceed in cost the sum of $2540 .00, John H. Eli ewoehner proposal bet ng not to ex- ceed the ;min of tr 395 .00.
