. Thursday September 28th, 1922.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office .of said Board .Thursday September
28th, 1922, at, 9 o' clock A. M. All the. members of said Board,
Messrs , Land , McFail .and Henley being present , the following pro-
ceedings were had , to-wit :The Board approved a primary assessment roll in the matter of im-
. proving the Peacock Road , by constructing cement roadway, curb,
gutters and sidewalks on both sides from Northwest 5th Street to
the west line of- Northwest 8th Street , as provided under Improve-
ment Resolution No. 613-1921.
The City Civil Engineer reported the com3letion of the contract
under Improvement Resolution No. 626.-192 , for the constructs on
of cement . curb & gutters on both sides from Northwest 1st to 5th

The City Civil Engineer. reported the completion of the contract
under Improvement. Resolution No. 647-1922, for the construction
of cement roadway in the alley 1st south of Main Street, from
. South 2"^ th to 21st Street. (Both of the- above improvements .were
-referred to Mr. Henley, for inspection and' -report ) .
Mr. D. C. Hes.s,Sup' t, was directed to. order 43 window guards for
stock rooms of the M.L.L.& P.P. from The Higgins Mfg. Co. of
Newport Ky, at the price named. in their, bid submitted therefore -
199.00 f. o.b.. Richmond, Indiana.
At the request of Councilman Fahlsing, the Fire Alarm Box was or-
dered placed at South .22nd St. and South "B" Street.

The Board directed the Clerk to notify Park Sup' t.. Fulle , to meet
with them next Monday, in consultation in matter of . smaller, parks
and beauty spots over the City .

The Clerk was directed, to request Dr. Ruffin to report progress
being made in matter of collections for cutting weeds bybthe City.
J. F. Looney Sup' t. , of Postal Telegraph Cable Co. , met with the
Board in reference to pole line on Peacock Road, and requested
that Mr.' Hess write him a letter as to condition of their line
and the changes proposed in removal of .poles & lines.
