Thursday September 21st , 1922 .
The Board. of Public Works of the City of hichmond , Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Thursday September fast ,
1922, at 9 a' clock A.M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land ,
McFail and Henley being present , the following proceedings were had ,
1The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under
Improvement hesolu-tion No. 648-1922, for construe ti n a cement side-
walk on north side of North "B" Street, from North 14th to 15th
. Street , referred to Mr. Henley for report .
The Board received noti ce of boi ler inspection on city hall plant ,
ordering 22" pop, renewing- fusible plug and re-inforcement band on
inside of hand hole on front flue sheet 1 • a , 3/8 counter sunk
ri vets to make good gland for gasket ; Clerk instructed to no ti fy .
Industrial Board of Indiana, recommendations had. been complied vel th . •
The Board adopted -speci tion prepared by Building Inspector,fix"
fe-roofing bui ldings in Glen. Miller Park.
The Board directed the Clerk to have 10,000 cards or bills printed
-of the city traffic rules • adopted by Police Commissioners .
The Board received proposal' for repairing heating system in city
building as follows :
"Chas. Johanning, bid
One arproximating 4i;480.00- One approximating till , 200.00
"Chas . A. Tangeman , bid
Changing to .gravity system ( see bid) - 54 C .00
Changing to Vapor System complete .780 .00
The Board after hearing both bidders, decide as it is necessary
to have the system overhauled at once , declare an emergency, and
Vapor the contract to Chas. A. Tangeman, for Vapor System, and. direct
the City Attorney- to draw up agreement etc , that said system will
regi ster 705� ter; . zero .eather
The Board order Electric Light • at South 10th & "I" Sts , and 6th St .
and Peacock Road , more light in S . 2 S t , bet , "A" (Sc "B" re. to Sup' t .
Bight Plant .
Clerk was directed to order barred. of street paint .
