The Board of -Public -forks of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in
regular session at the office of said Board Monday September 18th,
1922 , at 9 0' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs ,Land ,
Mc Fail and Henley being present . The following proceedings were
had, to -wit :
-Mr. Henley having reported the contracts on work completed which
was referred-to-him at last meeting of Board, aS. being O.H. the
Board approved primary _assessment roll on each of the following
- contracts, viz :
.Improvement Resolution No. 614-1921, for the construction of a
cement roadway in alley between North "F" .St. & =aailros ,from
North • 22nd to 23rd Street.
Improvement Resolution No. 620--1922, _for construction of Sanitary
serer in South 5th Street , 'from South "Cr" to rift* Street .
Improvement Re soluti. Dn. No. 638 -1922, for the construction of a
cement sidewalk 5' wide on east si . e of Northwest 2nd Street from
_ Lincoln Street to Richmond Avenue.
•In matter of Improvement Resolution No. 622-1922 , for_const ruc tie n
of cement roadway in alley betti:• e en South 10th & 11th Street • from
South "B" to "C" Street , Mr. Henley, resorted the work as being
very rough, and recommended a conferance th -iir. Hipskind ebe fore
said work is accepted, carried. _
The City Bngi neer, reported the completion of contract under
Improvement Reso luti on No. 613-1921 providing for the contructi on
of cement-roadway , sidewalk & curb & gutter on Peacock Road from
Northwest 5th to west line of Northwest 8th Street , same was re-
ferred to Mr. Henley for investigation and report .
The City Civi i Bngineer , reported the completion of contract under
for Relief Sewer to the South-

nest Sewer System , the Board accepted the same and ordered assess-
ment roll prepared, and in lieu of 570 being retained on said con-
tract , the Board grant the contractors permission to file a main-
tenanee bond on said work.
The Board ap proved the contract .& bond of John F. Hip kind , con-
. tractor under Improvement Ilesolution No. 637-1922.
The Board upon the recommendation of Fire Chief R. E. Miller a.p-
r.oi>ited Frank M. Boyer as .a member of the Richmond Fire :Department.
The Street Commissioner was directed to repair the drain in South
"L" Street; also to look after certain conditions in PairVi ew on
Graiit Street., also alley west of Butler Street .

The Clerk was directed to notify Geo . Rodenberg , to cleanthe clay

-ravel in South "L" Street. in place of 'clay clumped there by him.
The Board awarded the contract to Graham & Decker to place new tubes
in boiler and repair same for the sun of 205 .00 net .

The Board received a petiti on for an Arc Light to be placed at
corner of Sbuth 10th & "I" Street , which was referred to D. C .
Hess, pup' t , of Light Plant .•

The Board after' further :ire:7 e stiga.tio n of the bids submitted for
a portable machine for purifying turbine oil & dehydroated trans--
former and switch oil, fi nd that the' bid of The Westinghouse Blec-
trio & Mfg. Co. are not accordi rig to the snecificLaticns as adver-
tised , and thereu on rescinded the_ action taken by said Board on
September filth , 1922. and on Motion award the contract for furnish-
ing said oil purif=er to the Bravo-Doyle Company, at price named
in their bid submitted therefore on September 7th, 1922.
Perni ssi on was granted to `gym. H. Romey Co. thru the contract or
Chas. Johanning, to place a safety overflow grate.i_n sidewalk at
curb line in front of 922 - 926 Main Street.
The Board on motion establish a rule- that the City or Board will
not permit the installing of any more Gasoline , Oil said Air pumps
or di spen sers , on any of the sidewalks ewalks cr other public thorough-
fares of the City of Richmond, and directed the Clerk to notify
any persons seeking inforir tic n on this matters and Building In-
spector was directed to issue no more permits for said installat-
ions.
The Boarh directed the Clerk_ to advertise for. bids for re-roofing
the Tree residences , perches , sheds and closets in Glen Miller
Park, under the specifications prepared by the Building Inspector.
