Monday August 7th , 1922.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board , Monday Augu_st, 7th , 1022,
at 9 o' clock A.M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land , Mc-
Fail and Henley being present , the following proceedings were had,
to-wit : -
, IN THE mAT'Tr;R OF THE CONTRACT AND FRANCHISE FOR BUS LINES
IN THE CITY OF iI(HMOND.
WHEREAS, heretofore , on the17 day of July,
1922 , the Board of Public Works entered into a tentative agreement
with Thomas J. Fay pertaining to the granting of a franchise to oper-
ate buses in the City of Richmond ; and
WHEREAS, subsequently, the said agreement was submitted to Counci
for consideration; an&
HEH AS, subsequently, the Committee of the Common Council as a
whole , together with the Board of Public Works and other City offici--
- als held a conference pertaining to the contract and thereby the
exact terms and form of contract was determined by the Board - NOV
THEREFORE, The Board of Public Works , being in regular session this
7th day of August , 1922, fixes the n st days cf August , 1922, at 10 :00
o ' clock A2 the morning, as a date for a public hearing upon said con-
tract and franchise, and has determined upon and signed the said con-
tract in its exact fonn , and in the words and figures follov'ing,to-
wit : ( Insert . see contract Ordinance Record "F" page )And, the said Thomas J. Fay is ordered to cause said contract to be
published once in one publication of the Richni nd Item and the Rich-
mond Palladium not less t- an fifteen days before the said_ day of hear
- ing at his own expense and as provided by law, and make proof of
such rmblication.
The Board approved the contracts & bonds of "E.Zv .Curtis , contractor
finder Improvements Resolutions No' s . 64Z-646 & C47-1922.

streets along car tracks . -

The Board crahted Russel '"-_oehri.ng permission to cut the curb at :-l9
