Worin , City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday July 10th,1922. • The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday July 10th, 1922, at' 9�bclock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Land , McFail & Henley being present , the following proceedings were had, to-wit :- The matter- of Star Park property, as to roof leaking and ruining the walls was reported and referred to Mr. McFail,to investigate. Karl Holliday, appeared before the Board , stating he had fallen thru hole in the swinging bridge in Happy Hollow, he reported the bridge - in dangerous condition, stating he was not going to site the city, but the bridge should be looked after before some one was badly in- jured. The Board directed the Street Commissioner to close the bridge until proper repairs were made. The Board approved Contract & Agreement and bond of Elza Arbaugh & Son, to maintained at 229 West Main Street, (Gasoline Dispenser) The matter of condition of Gasolin Dispenser foundation at 1001 North 10th St. referred to Engineer & Bldg.Inspector, for investi- gation and report. John Starr was agin notified to pave Fort-Wayne Ave , in front, of 292 in place formerly occupied by his wagon scales. The City Civil Engineer reports the completion of the improvement of. - South 7th Street, by constructing concrete roadway from Main to South "A" Street, as provided for by Improvement. Resolution No. '610-1921 -and a final estimate in favor of Hiatt Construction Company, contract- ors, in the sum of $4987.15 Water tap $23.78 , Gas tap $5.50, total. $5,016.43 less 5% retained for one year. The Board on motion accept the same and order an assessment roll prepared. The City Civil Engineer reported. the completion of the improvement of North "D" Street, by constructing a cement curb & gutter on both sides of street from North 12th to 13th Street , as ,provided for under Improvement Resolution No. 634-1922, and final estimate in favor of - Daniel G. Burkhardt contractor in the sum of $832.57 less 5% retained for one year. The Board accept the same & order primary assessment roll prepared. The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of the improvement of south side of North "D" St , by constructing cement sidewalk from North 13th Street to the alley west ,as provided for under Improve- ment Resolution No.639-1922, and final estimate in favor of D.G. Burkhardt contractor in the sum of 0167.87 less 5% retained for one year,the Board accept the same & order primary assessment roll. The following petitions were received and referred to the City Civil Engineer, Alley 1st north. of Main Street, from North'b21st to 22nd Street, Alley between North 21st• & 22nd St, from 1st alley north of Main to North "0" Street ; referred for plans. The alley between North 13th & 14th St, from North "D" ton"E" St, referred for in- vestigation &. report, (Concrete roadway) . Monday July 10th , 1922. 297 The Board received 'ids for the construction of cement sidewalk 6 ft. wide on west side of South 7th Street, from South "H" to South "J" Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 645-1922 , as follows, to-wit : - " Daniel G. Burkhardt , bid: Cement sidewalk 6' wide a0.21fd sq-foot I/ " E. M. Curtis , bid Cement sidewalk 6' wide - $0. 21gc' sq-foot The Btd of Daniel G. Burkhardt being the lowest & within the estimate of the City Civil Engineer, the contract was on motion awarded to the said Daniel G. Burkhardt. The natter of installation of Gasoline Dispenser by Lucas Bros, at No. 262 Fort Wayne Ave , was taken under advisement , until Mr. John Starr owner of building makes paving repairs to street form- erly occupied by his wagon scales. The City Civil Engineer, reported that on account of unforseen obstacles, the cost of labor & material to date in changing the City Crematory to exchange station is g516 .08. same was ordered filed.
