Thursday July 6th , 1922.
The Board pf Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday July 6th
1922, at 9 o' clock A.M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land,
McFail and Henley, being present, the following proceedings. were
had, to-wit : -
11 The Board directed the Richmond City Water Works to extend their

water mains in North 15th Street, from North TTH" to "I" Street
and install fire hydrant on South 22nd Street between Main and
South "A" Street.
The Board grant permission to the St-Johns Lutherian Church to con=
_ struct the alley under private contract in rear of vacated alley
south of church at "E" & S.7th Streets .
The Street Commissioner was ordered to paint .the parking lines on
streets ; also to have weeds cut on gravel pit grounds , to place
men on the dump in river bottom at Light Plant ; also to place a
load of gravel between the street car tracks on South 8th Street.
A petition for cement curb & gutter on both sides of South llth
St. from "ET' to "F" Street was received and referred to Engineer
for plans & specifications.
Dan' l Galvin was granted permission to cut the curb at 401 South
9th Street for private driveway.
B.F.Williams , appeared before the Board and was told their was con-
sid_eaable complaint of his charging 109 for pop and co co . after
some discussion he was directed to prepare a statement of his re-
ceipts & disbursements for the season 1921 so the Board and him-
self can come to agreement on prices permitted to be charged and
report by July 13, 1922. ,
Mr. Wissler appeared before the Board requesting electric light be
placed in Whitewater School grounds, taken under advisement .

The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids on tracks2 to be fur-
nished to Light Plant . The Sup't. , Light Plant was directed to pro-
ceed with the installation of lighting system in South 7th St.Park.
The City Attorney was directed to prepare bill for an ordinance for
a y$75 ,000. bond issue for Street & Seaver improvements also street
& fire department equipment.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 650-1922,
to. improve Butler St, by grading,graveling road and cement curb &
gutter & graveled walks on both sides from Sherman St. to south
terminal of Butler S t.
The Board approved the payrolls to July 1st , and allowed bills to
the amount of $32 ,58 7.91 . . .
The Board then adjourned,
