Monday July 3rd, 1922.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board, Monday July 3rd, 19221
at 9 o' clock A.M.All the members of said Board, Messrs , Land ,McFail,
and'' Henley being present , the following proceedings were had, to-wit : -
, John Atkinson was granted permission to cut the curb at S.W.corner
Richmond Ave , & N.W.lst Street for driveway, Ldt 120 Haynes,Add.
The Clerk was directed to prepare an amendment to appropriation or-

dinance for Fire. Dept . eqpt . & Street sweeper to read for Street
Department equipment instead of sweeper.
The Board directed the City Civil Engineer to prepare plans for grad-
ing,graveling & cement curb & gutter both _sides of Butler Street from
Sherman Street south, as petitioned for by J.Klinger.
The Board approved a primary assessment roll in the matter of Improve-
ment Resolution No. ' 612-1921 , for the paving of South 5th Street
with concrete , from South "A" to "E" -Street .
The Board sign contract with Kelley & Keck, for Compensation Insur-
ance City Light Plant.
The Board sign agreement with Standard Oil Co. for Oil for uses of
City & M.E.L.& P.P.
The Clerk was directed to notify E.Williams, to appear before the
Board Thursday A.M. and bring schedule of prices for refreshments
and boat hire charged by him at Glen Miller Park.
The Clerk was directed to notify A.Schneider Street Commissioner to
appear at their meeting ntxt Thursday A. M. July 6th , 1922.
The Clerk was directed to notify Dr.Duffin, that he was expected to
assume absolute control of men etc . in the collection of garbage , to
employe and discharge whomsoever he may see proper.
The Clerk was directed to write a communication to Council, request-
ing a meeting with the Committee on Ordinances & Public Property etc.
or the whole council on next Wednesday P. M. July 5, 1922, to take
up various problems pending before the board.
The Board approved a petition for change of rates for cooking, sweepers
washing machines, etc , for M.E.L.& P.P. and order D.C.Hess, Manager
to present the same to the Public Service Commission of Indiana, for
their approval .
The Common Council then adjourned,
