RESOLUTION NO. 1394
WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield desires to implement professional planning
principals to best serve the wastewater collection. and treatment needs of the area; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield currently provides wastewater collection and
treatment service, at a reasonable cost, for our existing residents; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield has constructed a new wastewater treatment
facility that has the ability to serve the expanding area; and
WHEREAS, in the past the Village of Plainfield has received the approval of both the
Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and the Northeastern Illinois Planning
Commission to establish our current service area; and
WHEREAS, the growing demand for service in the area requires the expansion of the
existing Plainfield Facility Flanning Area; and
WHEREAS, the engineering plan to expand the Plainfield service area is consistent with
that of past direction provided by the only other major wastewater service provider within
the area, Fox Metro Water Reclamation District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Plainfield, endorses the Water Quality Management Plan Amendment
application. to modify the Village's current Facility Planning Area (FPA) to include
approximately 4131 acres in Sections 24, 25, 26, 35 and 36 of Oswego Township and
Sections 1, 2, 1.1, 12, 15, and 22 of Na-Au-Say Township.
