Home My Public Portal AboutResolution 1393RESOLUTION NO. 1393 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER IN THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD AND ABBEY PAVING CO., INC. WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield and' Abbey Paving Co., Inc, previously entered into a contract for the construction of improvements tQ Settler's Park; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the Village to add certain work and' remove certain work from the original contract; and WHEREAS the circumstances necessitating said change were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was executed and said change order is in the best interest of the Village of Plainfield, as authorized by law, and the change is germane to the original contract as signed. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: That it is hereby determined that it is in the best interest of the Village of Plainfield to authorize Change Order No. 1 and that the circumstances necessitating said change were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was executed and that said change order is in the best interest of the Village of Plainfield, as authorized by law, and the change is germane to the original contract as signed. II. The Village President is hereby authorized to execute said proposed change order, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A", and that a copy of this Resolution and Exhibit "A" shall be preserved in a file regarding said contract which shall be open to the public for inspection pursuant to 720 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/33E-9.
