RESOLUTION NUMBER 1389
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING A STATEMENT OF INTENT
FOR THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD
REGARDING BTD ZONING
WHEREAS, the Business Transition District commonly known as BTD Zoning provides
for the conversion of existing residential structures to low intensity professional and commercial
uses on properties; and
WHEREAS, the Business Transition District also allows far single family use; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have previously directed staff to review
ways to (1) better define the appropriate location for BTD and (2) options to improve specific
standards of BTD.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the President and Board of Trustees that
the following BTD corridors are hereby identified as suitable for such zoning:
a. Property adjacent to Route 59 on both the east and west side, from 12~ South to
Renwick Road;

NAYS: Collins, Fay
