All the •members of said Board Messrs , Land , McFall & tenley being present , the following proceedings were had , to-wit :- - • • The Board meet to hear all pereone interested, or r-hose property is affected by the improvement of the alley between North 8th & 9th St. by constructing a cement roadway from North "B" to "C" Street , as provided for 'under Improvement Resolution No.636-1922. After hear- ing all persons interested who appeared, the Board decide that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for the cost of improve- ment are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Ci` il Engineer, and thereupon take final action on said resolution the same being confirmed wi thout modi fication. • The Board met to hear all persons interested, or whose property is affected by the vacation of a strip of ground 5ft . wide off of south side of Glen Ave . from North 20th to 21st Street, under Declaratory Resolution No. 159-1922. No one appearing or remonstrating on said vacation, the Board takes final action on said resolution, the same • being c onfi.rmed wi thout modifi cation, and the Board°-.orders a roll prepared of all owners of holders of property , and of valuable in- terests therein sought to be taken or injuriously affected, which list or roll. shall also describe the property beneficially affected. The Board met to hear all persons interested, or whose property is affected by the widening of the alley by condemning 5' of ground off of north side of Lots No. 15 16 Grand Boulevard, Addition between North "F" St. & Glen Avenue , from North 20th to 21st Street , under Deplarat©r r Resolution No.160G1922. No one appearing or re- monstrating against said widening, the Board takes final action on said resoluti ori the same being confirmed without modification, and the Board now orders a list or roll prepared of all owners or hold- ers of property , and of valuable interests therein, sought to be taken or injuri ously affected, which list or roll shall also describ the property beneficially affected. The Board approved the contract & bond of J. L. Teegar.den, contract- or under Improvement Resolution No. 623-1922 . • The City Attorney approved the claims of Coffield , Sanders & Company Accountants , for services performed for the City, and recommended as the bill of 25 .00 for services before the Public Services Com- mission on behalf of City in re Telephone case , be paid out of the appropriation, made therefor in 1921 , as the contract was made at that time but ran into this year account of said hearing. The Board amended Improvement Resolutions No ' s, 640 & 641-1922, by inserting in the above improvements for Northwest 7th Street ; also Southwest 7th Street , providing for the construction of cement sidewalk 6' wide on both sides of street, except where .al- ready laid and in good condition. 266 Thursday May 11th , 1922. Mr. Floyd Showalter, appeared before the Board , requesting that grant or franchise to run Motor Buses on certain streets in this City, the same was. referred. to City Attorney. . The Board upon •the recommendation of Fire Chief Miller, awarded the contract to the American-LaFre.nce Fire Engine Company, Inc . for One Type 75, 750 ,gallon Triple Combination Pumping Chemical Engine and Hose Motor Car, at the price named in their bid sub- mitted therefore March 2nd , 1922, in the sum of $12., 500.00 F.O.B. Cars , Richmond , Indiana, delivery 'to be me.de in 40 .working days .
