A RESOLUTION PROHIBITING THE INSTALLATION OF ALL NEW LAWNS,
SOD AND/OR SEED FROM JULY 1$, 2003 TO SEPTEMBER 5, 2003.
.WHEREAS, the primary function of the Village's water system is to provide
sufficient water for drinking and fire protection.
WI~EREAS, the installation of new lawns, during the summer months, typically
requires more watering than lawns installed in the Spring or Fall.
WHEREAS, the watering of new lawns, during the summer, can cause undue
stress on tlac Village's water system.
WHEREAS, the Village supports reasonable water conservation programs and
encourages all residents to conserve water.
NOW, 1'IIFREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRF.,SIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
AS 1~'OLLOWS:
The installation of all new lawns, sod and/or seed, shall be prohibited from
July 18, 2003 to September 5, 2003 unless a permit for said installation is granted
by the Village.

APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY VILLAGE CLERK
I, SUSAN JANIK, duly appointed Village Clerk of the Village of Plainfield, Will
County, Illinois, do herewith and hereby appoint MICHELLE GIBAS as Deputy
Village Clerk, and she shall have the powers as provided by Statute which shall be
exercised only in the absence of the Village Clerk from the place where the Clerk's
Office is maintained.
