HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-08-1922 262 Office of Board of Public Works City of Richmond, Indiana, Monday May 8th, 1922. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Monday May 8th, 1922, All the members of said Board, Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had , to-wit : - Pursuant to continuance to this date , the Board met to hear all per- sons interested , or whose property is affected by the improvement of the alley between North "E" & "F" Street , by cement roadway from North 23rd to 24th Street, as provided for by Improvement Resolut 111 - ion No. 635-1922. After hearing all persons interested who appeared the Board on mot i nn of Mr. Henley, continue said improvement until • such time as the property owners make satisfactory arrangements for sewer in said alley. • l A petition was presented for a serer in the alley between North"E" y' & "F" Street , from North 23rd to 24th Street , same was taken under advisement. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 640-1922, for the improvement of Northwest 7th Street , from Peacock Road to West Main Street ; Also West Main Street from West 8th to the West Corporation Line of the City; By paving the roadway of said streets in such portion thereof as is not provided for by the THREEIMILE ROAD LAW proceedings for the improvement of such highway now pend- ing before the Board of County Commissioners of Wayne County, Indi- ana, such street paving to be of like kind as that adopted by said Board of County Commissioners, and also for the improvement of said streets by constructing cement curb with a one-foot apron on each side thereof between the points named above. Said street to be paved with one of the following kinds of modern city pavements, to-wit : Brick - _Concrete - Creosoted Wood-Block or Bituminous mac- adam on a concrete base ,and making all sewer , water & gas connections. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 641-1922, for the improvement of Tawest 7th Street , from West Main Street to the National Road, by grading and paving the roadway and construct- ing cement curb with one foot apron on both sides of said- street between the points named above. Said street to be paved with one of the modern kinds of city pavements, to-wit. Brick - Concrete - Creosoted Wood-Block - or Bituminous macadam on a Concrete base. Also for making all sewer, water & gas connection. C. Hess, General Manager of Municipal Electric & Lighting & Power Plant appointment beginning May 1st , 1922. The Board directed 0. B. Fulghum, agent , to prepare insurance policy on Florists residence in Glen Miller Park, the same be- I/ ing the residence situated, immediately south of Deer Park and Southwest of the Lake_, in the sum of 01500.00. Er. D. C. Hess General Manager of the M.E. L.& P.P. for addition- al appropriation to the account of Office Expense of plant, for the purchase of a Billing Machine and office expenses , the Clerk was directed to prepare an ordinance for such additonal appro- priation® The Board allowed ;.claims to the amount of $8, 965.34. • The Board then adjourned, 4/,' e`er. o± Board.
