The Board of Public Work., of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board , Thursday April
1 3th , 1922, at 9 o i clock A. H. The following members of said Board
fJeing pre sent , Messrs , MeF ail and Henley, Absent , Mr. Land , Two
- members of said Board being present , the following proceedings
were had , to-wit . -
Perrnissi en was granted Chas. S . Cole to cut the curb & construct
driveway at Nos 236 & 238 South 15th Street. -
The Board directed the Finance Department , to pay to F. E. Slick
- contractor under Improvement No. 583-1920 , the sum of 686 .92 , being
the amount of the 5% retained on said. improvement .
The Board received comrunicati on from The Aftermath Club , deli gna.tin
the. week of April 24th to 29 th as clean-up week, the Board on
moti on endorse clean-up week as designated , and will endeavor tto
render any possible assistance within their power .
The Board received a petition to widen the alley between .North „Fn
St. & The P.C. C.&: St.L iy. also for the vacation of a strip of
ground off the south side of Glen Avenue , from North 20th to 21st
-Street , referred to City Bn='ineer for plans , etc
The 'Board received typewritten report from Insurance Committee re-
lative to the various L.olici es carried by the City, which was on
• motion fi led until a fall meeting of the Board .

- The Clerk was di.recied to advertise for bids on 20 ,000 gallons% of
Tar via. "B" or its equal for spreading on city str eets .
Mr. -Hess, Commercial Manager of the M.E.T.& P.P. was directed to •
take up the matter of use of poles bg the City & Richmond Home Tele-
phone Co. with Mr. ,,'m. Bailey manager of said telephone company & .
Public Service Commission Biagi r ee r s of Indiana , as to present con--
tract between the two , and: the advi sabili ty to new agreement .
Mr. D.C.Hess, Com.Pingr , of M.L.L.& P.P. was authorized to rent ad-
vertising
space in the Arc°r? to .be constructed by the Veterans of

Foreign Wars , during th eh' conventi�i on in this City during week of
May 8 t h , 19 2 2.
