The Board of Public -aor4,:, of the City of � iu:T clolid , Iricliana , met in
regular session at the office of said. Board, Monday April 10th, 1922,
at 9 of clock A.M. The following merhbez•s of said Board being present ,
- Messrs , McFall and Henley, Absent , 1.1ir. Land . Two members of said
Board being present . The following proceedings were had , to-wit ;
The Board took. up the ratter of the marking, of traffic or parking
lines over the City, and directed the City Engineer, to order one
Highway Model LINE-O- GRAPH, for marking said traffic lines.
The Board. ,approved the contract & bond of 'Garfield Dixon, to throw
the old brd.ck stack at Light Plant , for the sum of d r5 .00.
The Board directed the Police Department to notify, H. J.Grii, to
remove the trash , rubbish & barrels abutting the buildingoccupied
.by him as a garage on south side of Sailor •Street .
The Board directed the Police Department , to notify, Charles Christ.-
- man, . to remove the old manure bins from south side of Sailor Street
abutting his property.
The matter of meeting with heads of departments

The Board on moti on continue action on awarding the contract for
painting Park Property on bids heretofore received until Monday
April-I ", 1922.

Pursuant to continuance tO this date tO consider remonstrance filed
by the P.C.C .& St.L.R.R.Co. The Cin.Pt-Wayne & Richmond Ry.Co. and
the G. R. .& I. Ry.Co. against the improvement Center Street , from
Northwest 2nd to Northwest 5th Street, by constructing cement curb&
gutter & paving road way with one of the modern kinds of city pave-
ments , Concrete-Brick „Asphalt or Crepsoted Wood-Block, under Improve-
ment Resolution No. 623-1922, heretofore confirmed. on March 70 , 1922,
The, City. Attorney Wm.H.Kelley, reported the remonstrance of the rail-
road companies where not effective as under the law, they are not
residents , residl fit on said street , the Board thereupon deny the said
`emonStrance `;_G.n& thereupon re-affirm the action taken on said resod-
lutiorl March O , 1922, and decide that the benefits to property li-
able to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of
same as reported by the City Civil Engineer of Richmond , and corifim.t
said resoluti without modi fi cati on, and direct the Clerk to adver-
tise for bids on same .
The City Civil Engineer, reported in the ratter of remonstrance filed
against the improvement of the alley between South 9th & 10th Street
by cement roadway from South "Grp to "HT' Street , under Gmprcveme_nt
Resolution No. 625--1922 , that there are three resident property owner
residing along the line of said improvement and two of same had re-
monstrated, the, Board on motion rescind said resolution.

The City Engineer, reported in teat ter of remonstrance f?led
against the improvement of Fear al Street under Improvement he so lu-
Lion No. 626-1922. providing for the construe do n of cement curb &
gutter on both :ides of street , from NW. let to NW. 5th Street , re-
ported that there are 66 resi dent property owners resi ding along the
line of said improvement 33 of whom have remonstrated, the Board con-
tinue acti on on said resolution until Monday April 17 , 1922,'
The Board meets to hear all persons interested, or whose property is
affected by the improvement of the alley be eel_ North 9th & 10th
Street, by cement roadway from North "B" Street to the 1st alley •north
of North "A" Street , under Improvement he so luti on No. 620 -1922.
No one appearing or remonstrance being filed, the Board decide that
the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said -improvement
are equal to the ccst of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer,
and thereupon take final- action on said resolution the .same being con-
firmed withput modi 'fi cati on.
The Board meets to hear all persons interested , or chose property is
_ affected by the improvement of South 7th Street , by installing Orna-
mental Lights on both sides of street., ' from Main to Vacated alley
south , a,s provided under Improvement Resolution No. 629-1922,, the
Board on moti on continue hearing on same until Monday May 1st , 1922.
The Board -uhanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.634-1922,,
for the improvement of North "D" Street , by construeting cement -curb
& gutter on both sides of street, from North 12th to 13th Street .
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resoluti on No. 635-1922.
forthe improvement of the alley between North "E" & "F" Street , by
constructing a cement roadway from North 23rd to 24th 3tr eet.
Mr. Taggart, of the committee from Veteran of Foreign Wars , appeared
before the Board , stating. the Board of Wayne County Commissioners had
granted them the 'privilege of using South 3rd. , South 4th & South "A"
Streets for their shov,rssto begiveii the week of Hay c8th , 1922. The
Board on motion andt ct—i on of the said Commissioners, grant the said
_ Veterans the privilege of using said streets on said dates.
- The Board received, bids for the removal of garbage from the Crematory
as follows, to-wit : -
" Jesse Druly, bid_ : tc_-r-e112.0-ti:e-. ----4 125C.00 per year.
" J. H. Crowe , bid . -to em07-e--g=u-1b . ;-e----- ;10 ,000.00 for four years .
The Board on take said. bids for removal of garbage under advise-
merit .
