Thursday March 2nd ,1922.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in
regular session in the office of said Board Thursday March 2nd ,1922,
at - 9 o' clock A.M. All the members of said Board , Messrs , Land,
McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had,
Ito-wit : -
The Board received communication from Wm.F.Eversman,Chief of Police,
requesting that Building Inspector be instructed to order a gate
for south door; also to repair target in cellar, when the necessary
repairs to the down stairs offices are made. He also suggested that
the Engineer be instructed to place signs on Sailor Street, also in
alley back of Post Office and alley back of Telephone Co, to read
• NO PARKING ALLOWED, same was placed on file .
The Board directed the Building Inspector, to have lock placed on
door in Market Master' s room.

The Board approved bills to amount of $7.10 for recording deed and
plats , Also one for $80.00 to Geo. L. Cox, for Warranty Deed to Lot
No. 6, R. T.Mfg,Add. known as Blanchard et-al , add.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 620-1922,
to construct Sanitary Sewer in South 5th St, from South, "H" Street
sewer north on 5th St. to South "G" Street •
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 621-1922,
to construct a Sanitary Sewer ih South 6th Street ; from South "H"
Street sewer to a point north in South 6th St, where the C . & 0.
Railroad crosses said Street .
The Board received petition to improve both sides of Center Street
from Northwest 2nd to Northwest 5th Street, by paving the roadway
and constructing driveway curb along both sides of said street be-
tween the points named. The Board directed the City Engineer to
prepare plans & Resolution for said improvement specifying standard
curb & gutter.
Whereas , the Board. deem it necessary that the Mayor have a type-
writer in his office , and that an appropriation is necessary to
purchase the same ; also that them is not enough money appropriated
for Special Judge , Nor therefor, be it resolved that the Board in-
struct the Clerk to prepare an ordinance for additional appropria*:.
• tion in the amount of $}100.00 for typewriter & office expenses of
Mayor, and $100.00 for Special Judge, City Court , and request the
City Controller to recommend the same .
The Board met -t pursuant to advertisement to receive bids on the
following equipment, viz : - Fire Chief Automobile , Triple Combination
Pumper, also Street Sweeper or cleaner, the board re-ceived bids as
follows, to-wit : -

all equipment bid on.
The Board decide on account, of time which it will probably take be-
. fore awarding any of the above contracts, that the bidders. may file
a bond to cover their bids , in lieu of certified checks deposited :
with same, and clerk was instructed to return certified check. to any
. . .of bidders 'if bond is given in pace- of same .
