City of Richmond, Indiana ,
Monday February 27th,1922.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met
in regular session in the office of said. Board , Monday February
27th , 1922, at 9 o' clock A.M. Present Messrs , Land. and Henley,
Absent , Mr. McFall. Two members of said Board being pre sent .The
following proceedings were had , ,to -wit : -
Whereas , heretofore to-wit ; on the 9th day of February, 1922.
the Board of Public Works under Declaratory Resolution No.157-1921
appropriated & condemned Lot No. 6, .Richd.Trading & Mfg.Add. or
Bclanchard et-al ,cAdd. to the city of Richmond, for Park purposes.
And Whereas , Geo . -L. Cox and Alma Cox, his wife , have filed with
the board of public works of this City their Warranty Deed for . •
said. Lot No. 6, And whereas, the board is of the opinion that said
Lot is desirable for, the city' s uses.
Now , therefore, said Board. under & by virtue of the power con-
fe rred upon it by Stautes of the State of Indi ana , for and in be-
half of. said. City accept said deed for the purposes above named.
and order that the same .be recorded in the Recorders Office of the
County of Wayne , Indiana. .
The Clerk was directed to write the M.Rnmley Mfg. Co. in regard to
their property in river bottom with a view to the city purchasing
the same .
On motion of Mr. Henley, the bond of D. C. Hess., Commercial Man-
ager of M. E. L. & P.P. was fixed in the sum of 10,000.00, and
Clerk directed to notify Mr. Hess, of same .
