The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in regular session in the office of said Board , Monday February 20th , 1922, at 9 o' clock A.M.All the members of said Board , Messrs ,Land , McFail and Henley, being present. , The following proceedings were • had, to-wit : - The Board eater into an agreement with G.C.Winders, of Cambridge City , Indiana, to clean & paint tower and fence on City Bldg, also Crematory Stack , for the. sum of $90.00, said Winders , . is to purchase and place on• Crematory Stack , pulley & cable , the City of Pay for said pulley & cable , (see agreement ) . The Board instructed Street Commissioner A.H.Schneider, to diredt Z.A.Shook, to vacate and remove his goods from the shed on the City's grounds at. gravel pit . r . The Board received, notice from the M.E.L.& P.P. office , that the data , removed by former Sup't. J.P.Dillon, had been returned, letter . was ordered placed on file . The Board received letter from Ameri can-LaFrance Fire Engine Company Inc . in reference to Bab cock extinguishers , same was placed on file . The Board approved the Bond & Contract of the Hiatt Construction Co. of Elwood , Indiana, contractors under Improvement Resolutions, No' s. 610-1921--.611-19 21 & 612-1921. The Board approved the Bond & Contract of E. M. Curtis, of Muncie , Indiana, contractor under Improvement Resolution No. 613-1921. The Board met to hear remonstrances, if any, of persons interested. in the vacation of a portion of the 1st alley- south of North "D" Street , running from North 3rd Street east to the alley running north & south between North. 3rd & 4th Street . No one appearing or remon- strating , the Board decide that no one is interested in said vacat- ion other than the City of Richmond , Indiana, and thereupon take . final action on said resolution, the same being in all things con- firmed as originally adopted,:, and the_ Board now declare said portion of said alley vacated. ,(9�r ,Ls� !• . d :, • Bills to the amount of $7489.80 , were approved and ordered paid. The Board met wits the various insurance men , requesting them to appoint a committee, and make survey of property owned by the City so the Board may be enabled to act intteligently on handling the future insurance carried by the City, and to report by March 6,1922.
