The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in regular session at the office of said Board, Monday February 6th,- 1922 , at 9 o' clock A.M. All the members of .said. Board , Messrs Land, McFail & Henley, being present . -The following proceedings were had, as follows, to-wit : - A letter from J.D.Lyon, was. received, notifying the Board that an- other test of the turbine had been tentatively arranged beginning pan. 31 , The Westinghouse Company will be represented at their own expense. The Board received letter from W.S .Culver,Dist .Engineer of the General Electric Co. advising them that he Would be in Richmond the latter part of this week . • A •petition of the Richmond Light ,Heat & Power Company, was received in matter. of petition to Public Service Commission of Indiana , to re-construct their finances , hearing at Indianapolis ,Friday Febru- ary 10, 1922, 3 o' clock P. .;i. A petition for the paving with concrete 20ft. wide thru the censer of Southwest 6th Street, from Southwest "A" St. to National Road was received and taken under advisement for further investigation. The Board directed the City Attorney, to prepare an ordinance for the purchase of l acres of ground in. the proceedings of condem- nation and appropriation of property nece° sary, in the opening of Southwest 1st Street, from 'National Road to Southwest "E" Street , Also an ordinance appropriating approximate ly 4 22,000Q00 fdr the - purchase of 750 gallon triple pumper & combination hose wagon & • new auto for Fire Chief , also motor driven street .sweeper. The Board confi rmed the appointment of D. C. Hess , Commercial Lana- ger and L. C. Welden , Production Manager of M.E.L.& P.P. of this City , the Board also order the light or current connected. and turned on, on Garwood Road line. The Board appointed the following named persons as firemen , cf the City Fire Department , Everett Oxendine , Geo . L. Clark and Geo . H.
