' The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in regular session in the office of said Board ,Monday: January .30, 1922, at 9 o' clock A.M. All the members of said Board , Messrs , Land , McFall & Henley, being present , the following proceedings were had , to-Wit : - Pursuant to continuance to this date, the Board met to hear re- monstrances, if any, of persons primarily assessed in the matter of the opening of Southwest lst Street , from National Road to Southwest "E" Street , under Declaratory Resolution No. 1541z-1921. The Board after having gone over the premises with interested prop- erty owners , continue action on same and on 'motion final action on .said resoluti on was continued to February 23rd,1922, 9 o ' clock A.M. The Clerk presented reply to letter •frrom National Valve Cor_mpany, in matter of employment, of Mr. Kennedy, to supervi se laying of pipe at - M.E.L.&: T.P . which was ordered placed on file .at light office with other correspondence covering this work . • • Mr. Schneider , Street Commissioner , was directed to have his men repair the wagons and eau ipment elf Parks at ci ty sh op , and charge the same to the account of Public Parks. The Sup't. of Parks and Building Inspector , reported that. it would cost approximately 4,5400.00 to :Inclose grounds and $ 20 .00 , for • suitable building • to shelter 3 buffaloes at Glen Miller. Mr.Henley moved , that owing to the cost of purchase of additional buffaloes it being desired and esti mat ed that 2 additional buffalo were nec- • ee scary if the ci ty accepted the one offered by the government , and in vi ew of the repairs & painting of property & equipment at Park absolutely neccessary at this time., the Board decline at this time to accept the 1-buffalo offered by the government , and the clerk be directed to return the letters and notify the proper offi cials of their action, also Congressman Elliott , moti on prevailed. The Clerk was directed to request the members of the Common Council to meet wi th the Board Thursday February 2nd ,1922, at 7 30 o ' clock P.. in their office , for the purpose of consulting on the various • problems confronting the city at this time,. The Clerk was directed to have 1 ,000 or more letter heads of the Board pri_n_ted , together with the names of members of board and date of their regular meetings Pursuant to proposals received on January 26 , for 2" N.& S. coal for T:M..E.L.& P.P. for testing purposes , the Board directed Mr. L.C. Welden , acting Sup' t. of plant , to order 5 cars , of coal from the dealers mentioned, at pri ce named in th eir bids submitted is vrefor , as follows , viz : J. H.
