RESOLUTION NO. 1342
A RESOLUTION PROHIBITING THE INSTALLATION
OF ALL NEW LAWNS, SOD AND/OR SEED FROM
July 1, 2002 TO August 31, 2002.
WHEREAS, the primary function of the Village's Water System is to provide
sufficient water for drinking and fire protection.
WHEREAS, the installation of new lawns, during the summer months, typically
requires more watering than lawns installed in the Spring or Fall.
WHEREAS, the watering of new lawns, during the summer, can cause undue
stress on the Village's Water System.
WHEREAS, the Village supports reasonable water conservation programs and
encourages all resident to conserve water.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD ()F TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
The installation of all new lawns, sod and/or seed, shall be prohibited from
July 1, 2002 to August 31, 2002.
