City of Richmond , Indiana,
Monday January 16, 1922.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in
regular session in the office of said Board on Monday January 16th,
1922, at 9 o' clock A. M. All t#e members of said Board being present .
Messrs, Land, McFail & Henley, the following proceedings were had,
to -wit :
The reading of the minutes of preceeding meeting were dispensed
with .
The Board directed the Clerk to notify the Inspector of Weights &
Measures, and the Dairy Inspector, to both-} use the same car, and •
to keep account of milage as used by each.
The Engineer, reported that tool shed on gravel pit ground was be-
ing rented by the City for the sum of 05.00 .per month, he suggested
that this practice be discontinued, as the Street Department needed
- same for storing tools, Board directed the Street Commissioner to
appear before the Board Monday January 23, 1922.
Mrs. Fish ,appeared before the Board desiring to rent for garden pur-
poses the ground of city at Bridge Ave , & east fork of river, the -
same being Lot 6, rear of 17 , the Board being undecided at this time
what to do in this matter, action on same was indefinitely postponed
and the said Mrs,Fish , given to understand that in case they decided
to again let this ground for garden purposes, she would be given
the first option same .
The Board sign agreement or License for poles & elh'tric wires to
cross private grounds of the G.R.& I.Ry.Co. , for the purpose of con-
ducting electricity by the M.E.L. & P.P. to the Wayne Ice Company,
the same beginning at Station. o plus 4893' north from Richmond
Station, the said M.E.L.& P.P. to pay the sum of 05.00 per year for
said License, on motion of Mr. Henley, the same was accepted and
signed upon the recommendation of City Attorney,Wm. Kelley. (See
agreement)
Mr. Henley, moved the sum of 05.00 offered by John Pinnick, for
the bicycle formerly used by Building Inspector, be accepted,
motion prevailed.
The Board direoted, the Clerk to notify Mr. Kenedy, erecting engi-
neer of the Westinghouse Mfg. Co. to appear before them at a meeting
to be held Wednesday January 18th , 1922,. 7. 30 o' clock P.M. at their
office.
Mr. W.H.Kelley, City Attorney, stated in reporting on. the coal con-
tract between the City & the Price Coal Co. he would recommend that
the contractor be notified, to deliver coal only as ordered by the
City,Cd..tr to pay for same as used

The Board received bids for Madda electric light bulbs , for the
ci ty' s use, for year 1922, from the Richmond Electric Company,
Chase Electric Company, Crane Electric Company, Hart' s Electric
Shop, Stanley Plumbing & Electric Company and Wood Electric
Shop, as follows , to—

-with an additional 2% discouht for payment of bills within 10 days
from date of invoices
All bids being the same as to price and discount , Mr. McFall moved
the contract be awarded to the Wood Electric Shop.
The Board directed the Clerk , to notify the heads of various city
departments, in purchasing lamps the same be procured from the
Wood Electric Shop, upon the requsition issued by said Clerk.
Claims to the amount of $84 .60 were allawed & ordered paid .
The Board then adjourned,
