The Board of Public Works of the City of R- chmond, Indiana , met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday , December 5th , 1921, at 9 A.E. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs. von Fein, Price and Feltz the following proceed- ings were had to-wit : - The Board received a communication from the Board of. Police Commissioners signed by E. McNally, Sooty. , refusing to U.K. a bill from tl-.e Lavelle Foundry Co. of $70.00 for two "Silent Policemen" on account of not having ordered same. Whereupon the Pres. of the Board of Public Works was instructed to U.Y. the bill and order it paid. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution 616--1921 to improve the territory between the Peacock Road and Richmond Ave .Ave . from North-west 5th Street to the alley west of North-west 8th Street ; by constro cti ng a seprer running from the proposed Randolph Street relief sewer in North-west 5th Street over lots ( 1) to t14) inclusive in the Wrightland Addition, and alley 1st north of the Peacock Road to alley east of North-west 8th Street ; thence south in said alley to the Peacock Road ; thence west in the Peacock Road to alley west of North-west 8th Street ; thence north in said alley to Richmond Ave. : Also north in alley between North-west 8th & Sedgwick Street , from 1st alley north of Peacock Road to alleys 1st south of Richmond Ave. ;. -thence east west in said alleys : Also in alley between Sedgwick and North-west 7th St and alley east of North-west 7th St . , from the let alley north of Peacock Road to alley 1st south of Richmond Ave. : Also in North- west 6th Street and Sedgwick Street from the 1st alley north of the Peacock Road south to the Peacock Road. The Board received a petition aimed by Edwin C . Wright and two others for the passage of a resolution providing for Bement Curb e: Gutter and 6' ft Cement Walk and grading and graveling the road- - way on NW. 6th St. from Peacock Road to the S . line -of Tract 588 0.E. of City, and NW. 7th St. from Peacock Road to Richm-ond Ave. Also Sedgwick St . from Peacock Road to Richmond Ave .- The Board unanimously adopted I 1prcve:_ent Resolution jr617-1921 to improve North--west 6th Street from Peacock Road to the South line of Tract N. 588 , Official Nap of City: Also north-west 7th Street from Peacock Load to Richmond Ave . : Also Sedgwick Street from Peacock Road; to Richmond Ave. ; by constn sting cement side- walk, curb w gutter on both sides of said streets, and grading and Bituminous bound Macadam Roadway. I/ The Board approved the Primary Assessment Roll in the ratter of the opening and la-Ting cut of SW. let St . from irrational Road to South ''E" Street under Declaratory Resolution y;`154--1921 and fixed the 12th day of January, 1922, as the day of hearing against said assessment . The Board approved the Bond of the Simplex Wire Ateā€¢ Cable Co. the contractors to furnish and deliver electrical material for the Muni cina.1 Electric Lighting & Power Plant: Monday, December 5th , 1921. 181 The ' oarfd instructed the Supt . of the Light Plant to get up data and submit it to the Board immediately, loot-ing toward a reduction of light & power rates. _ The Board approved a plat rerrsenting 51 Town lots to be known as the Wri-ghtland Addition to the City of Richmond, Indiana, and known as a part of Tracts 586 & 588, and all of Tracts 587 & 592 Official Map of the City of Bi-chmond, Indiana , and streets and alleys not heretofore dedicated are now didicated tothe City for public use. A Contract between the .nichmond Hone Telephone Co. and the City modifying a contract made by such parties on the 13th day of Feb. 1908 , was presented, and on motion og Mr. Feltz seconded by Er. Price the Beard unanimously approved such contract and instructed the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance for Council covering such _ matter. Such Contract was thereupon e ecuted by the Telephone Co. _ and Members of the Board of Works in duplicate , and one copy of': same filed in the office of the City Clerk. Bills to the amount of 2,042.58 were allowed. ' The Board approved the various pay rolls iip tb December 1st , 1921. The Board then ad;; ourned. The Beard of u51i_c Wroks of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, December 8th , - 1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present Messrs . vonPein , Price, and Peitz the following proceedings were had The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose property is affected by the improvement of South 7th St. from Main to South shirr - St. by paving the roadway of said street with one of the modern kind of city pavements to-wit ; Brick; AST:halt ; Creosoted Wood-Block; or Concrete, as _provided for. by Improvement resolution t610--1921. No written remonstrance having been filed and after hearing all persons interested who appeared, for and against said ir_:provernent , the Board after careful consideration, and being properly informed in regard to this improvement decided that the benefits to property liable to- - be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer less the sum the City
