The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, November -14, 1921, at 9 A.M. . All the members of the said Board being pre- - sent Messrs. von Pein, Price and Peltz the following proceedings were hat to-wit :® 1/ The City Engineer reported the completion of the Contract under Improvement Resolution 578-1920 for the improvement of South "E" Street from South 5th Street to South 16th Street. The Board ac- cepted said report and ordered an assessment roll prepared. The Board recommended that the petition for the improvement of Garden Avenue from South "E" Street to the C. & O. R.R. be de- ferred indefinitely. The Board then adjourned. Pres.o the Board Attest: Clerk of the Board. 000O000 Office of the Board of Public Works, City of Richmond, Indiana, Thurs. Nov. 17 , 1921. The Board of Public Work s of the City -of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, November 17, 1921 , at 9 A.M. All the members of said Board being present Messrs. von Pein, Price, and Peltz , the following proceedings were had to-wit : - The Board gave the New Era Distributing Co. of Louisville, Ky. , permission to place about twenty ( 20) of their trash receptacles at -various street corners in the city for a period of One ( 1) Year from date. The Board received a notice from the Richmond City Water Works Co. informing them of the completion of the extention of water mains ordered in Benton Heights, which was ordered placed on file. The Board received a petition signed by Edwin C . Wright for the improvement of Peacock Road from West 5th St. to the West Corpor- ation Line, which was referred to the City Engineer for plans & specifications. The Board met to hear remonstrances if any -of persons Primarily Assessed on account of the vacation of a portion of the 1st alley 76 Thursday , November 17 , 1921. south of South "B+ " Street running from South 7th To 8th St. under Declaratory Resolution #155-1921. ITo one remonstrating the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll of Benefits Damages confirming in all things the original assessment roll heretofore approved, and thereupon declare said alley as de- signated above vacated, and now direct that a copy of said as- sessment roll be forthwith transmitted to the Dept. of Rinance. The Home Telephone Company representatives appeared before the Board asking for an. increase in_rates which was taken under advisement for the purpose of consulting with the City Atty. and. to investigate. Nov. 21, 1921. The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana , met in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, November 21, 1921 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Bca rd being present Messrs. von Pein, Price, and .h'eltz the following proceed ings were had toewi t :- The Board received a petition signed by Ira M. Tucker and six others for the passage of a resolution providing for the improve ment of the alley between North "P" St. and "the Railroad from North 22nd to North 23rd St. which was referredto the City Eug. for papers. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution #613-1921 to improve Peacock Road from the west line of North-west 5th St. to the west line of North-west 8th St. by grading; the construc- tion of cement curb with 12inch gutter; six ft. cement sidew.1k, and construction of a concrete pavement 8' ft wide on both sides thereof. The. Board allowed- and ordered paid the claim of the Lavelle Foundry Co. of Anderson, Ind. , of $70.00 for two ( 2) "Silent :.policemen". Dr. Bulla appeared before the Board in regard to the condi tion existing on South-west "E" St. between 4th & 5th Sts. where the trunk sewer at its overflow manhole is creating a nuisance.
