The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in
. regular session in the office of said Board Thursday, October 6th,
1921, at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being present
Messrs. von Pein, Price, and Peitz the following proceedings were
had to-wit :-
Howard Dill, Sort. of the Richmond City Water Works, appeared be--
fore the Board in regard to a petition for a water main on Boyer
St. between School St. & Stevens St. which petition was referred
to the City Engineer, Fire Chief, and Mr. Dill for their recommen-
dations at next meeting.
The Clerk presented the complaints from Council of Monday , October
3rd , 1921.
The Board met to hear remcnstranceo if any of persons primarily
assessed on account of the improvement of South 3rd Street by con-
structing a cement sidewalk; also cement curb & gutter standard
width from South "A" St. to South "D" St. under Improvement Reso-
lution -600-1921, no one appearing or remonstrating the Board ap-
proved the Final Assessment Roll confirming in all things the or-
iginal assessment roll as heretofore approved, and directed the
same to be transmitted forthwith to/The Dept.. of Finance.
The Board received a petition signed by Russell Alexander and two
others for the passage of a resolution providing for the grading

�: graveling of South 21st �� ��. from �ou ��� b � �. to t.eeveston
Road, which was referred to the City Engineer for plans.
The Board received a petition signed by Chas. D. Williams and one
other for the passage of a resolution providing for the paving of
the alley between SW. 1st & SW. 2nd Ste. from 1st alley south of
Main St . to Front St . , 12 feet in width with concrete, which was
referred to the City Engineer for plans.
The Board received a petition signed by Henry Weyman and two others
for the passage of a resoluti oh providing for the vacation of the
alley running east & west south of South "E" St. from South 7th- St.
to a point 117 .42 feet east.
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution 155 - 1921 to
vacate a portion of the 1st alley south of South "E" Street running
from South 7th to 8th Street .
The Board approved the Bond of the Pan American Bridge Co. the con-
tractors to furnish structural & reinforcing steel for the M.E.D. &
P.S.
The Board apprc Tied the Bond of Thos. Turner & Son, contractors to
furnish and install air ducts for the 5000 KW.. Turbine at the Li fht
Plant .

The Board approved the various pay rolls up to October 1st , 1921.
. Bills to the amount Of 5 10,95.9 .39 were allowed.

_ in regular session in the office of said Board Monday, October
10th , 1921 , at 9 A.M. All the members of the said Board being
present Messrs . von Fein, Price , and Pelts the following proceed-
ings were had twit : -
The Board unanimously adopted -Improvement Resolution #608-1921 to
improve South 21st Street from South "B" St . to Reeveston Road,
by grading and graveling sai.d street . • .
The Board met to hear remonstrances. if any of persons Primarily
Assessed on account•, of the vacation of eight feet- off the east
side of South 16th. Street, from South "E" Street. to the South
Terminal of said street which point is the south line of Tract
No. 557 Official Map, under Declaratory Resolution #152 - 1921.
No one remonstrating the Board approved the Final Assessment Roll
of Benefits & Damages confirming in all things the original ass-
essment roll heretofore approved , and thereupon declare said por-
tion of said street as designated above vacated, and now direct
that a copy of said assessment roll be fort.hv%ith try nsmitted to
the Dept . of Finance.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons Primarily
Assessed on account of the improvement of the south side of S.
r'F" St . ; by cons tructing -a cement sidewalk ( 5' ft in width ) from
South 8th to South 9th Street under Improvement Resolution #605-
_ 1921, no one appearing or remonstrating the Beard approved the
Final Assessment Roll confirming in all things the original ass--
essr__ent roll as heretofore approved, and directed the same to. be
transmitted forthwith to the Dept. of Finance.
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons Primarily
Assessed on account of the improvement of the alley between S.
11th & 12th Streets ; by constructing a cement roadway the full
width of alley , from South "D" St. to South "E" Street under Im-
provement Resolution #604-1921, no one appearing or remonstrating
the Board apprcvee the Final Assessment Roll confirming in all
things the original assessment robes heretofore approved , and
