A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INCORPORATION INTO FUTURE
ANNEXATION AGREEMENTS A DONATION PROVISION FOR THE
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Village has deemed to be necessary in the interest of preserving
the general welfare and safety of the residents who reside within the municipal
boundaries to provide adequate Fire and Emergency Ambulance services;
WHEREAS, the Village has deemed it to be appropriate to work with the
Plainfield Township Fire Protection to insure that future residential and commercial
development within the municipal boundaries do not over tax the existing facilities of the
Plainfield Township Fire Protection District:
WHEREAS, the Village has deemed it to be necessary to mitigate the financial
impact of residential and commercial development within the Village on the Plainfield
Township Fire Protection District by establishing a provision into all future annexation
agreements which will require all developers and builders to donate a said certain sum of
money to the Plainfield Township Fire Protection District:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY,
ILINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a provision be incorporated in all future annexation agreements by the Village of
Plainfield which will require any developer or builder to donate the sum of $100.00 per
unit for residential development and $0.05 per square foot for commercial development
to the Plainfield Township Fire Protection District.
2. That the Village of Plainfield and the Plainfield Township Fire Protection District shall
enter into an agreement in which the Plainfield Township Fire Protection District shall
agree to fully indemnify the Village of Plainfield for any liability that may derive from
the collection of these aforesaid fees:
