HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 1286RESOLUTION NO. 12 8 6 WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield desires to implement professional planning principles as a strategy for growth management; and, WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield prepared a Facility Plan and submitted it to the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission; and, WHEREAS, the IEPA and NIPC approved that plan in 1999; and, WHEREAS, the IEPA issued the Village of Plainfield an NPDES Permit to construct improvements to the Village's existing wastewater treatment plant and construct a new treatment plant; and, WHEREAS, these improvements are sufficiently designed to accommodate the area suggested by Fax Metro; and, WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield successfully placed $18,000,000.00 of public infrastructure bonds, bid the project and awarded a contract in reliance upon the adopted plans of the reviewing agencies; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield that the Village Administrator is hereby directed to prepare an Intergovernmental Agreement to define a service area mutually acceptable to the Village and the Fox Metro Water Reclamation District. The Village of Plainfield is able and willing to provide service to the 2170 acres represented in the map hereby attached and referred to in the Fox Metro letter dated March 26, 2001. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village of Plainfield urges the NIPC Water Quality Committee to approve the Plainfield request Number WQ-057 consistent with the Committee's policy not to delay this matter beyond the 60 day initial deferral.
